Hello there,

I really need some advise here. Have been looking for similar cases but haven't found any yet.

I filed my application in Bufalo in OCT last year. Received a letter a couple of weeks back which to my surprise is stating that my application has been refused. The reason stated was because the visa officer thinks my total points are 64. He has mentioned a table in the letter stating his understanding of the assigned points. When I went thru it, I realised I am not given points for adaptability since my brother and both my parents are citizens of canada. I should have been assigned 5 points for it which he/she missed.

I have sent them a letter stating this and requested to look into it. Have simillar situation happened with any one you know. Since I have a valid reason do you know if they have a process of reopening the files and if yes, will they?

Any other advise to resolve this? How else I can approach and convince them?

did you send proof of the relationship, birth certificates, proof of their status in Canada, and proof (bills, receipts, taxes) that they reside in Canada? If not, that is the reason you didn't get the 5 adaptability points.
