CIC has updated the processing time for CPC-Ottawa form 18 months to 11 months. It means that after 11 months you can call them and probably the call agent can request the center for expediting the process of your application.

Good luck to all who are still waiting for PPR.

Viva Thanks for sharing that and +1. It seems that I should get ready to call them to expedite my application.
It has been more than 4 months since my medical was submitted and I have not heard anything from them.

You are very welcome. Recently, there has been no update regarding PPR neither here (PhD forum) nor in CPC-Ottawa forum. Hope you get good news soon :)

I agree with Viva, I saw that they have changed their average processing time. We have the same timeline, Sep 15th will be 11 month for me too.
I am going to my home country for 5 weeks in Sep 4th. I really wished the gave me PPR before my trip, but now I hope they give it after Sep 20th, then I don't have
to ask for an extension from them. I know I can ask them to stamp the visa in the visa office responsible for my home country inquirers, but I just don't want to do it.
It is not worth the trouble...

Called CIC today, and the agent told me to wait till October according to the 11 month processing time (as Viva2014 shared with us -- thanks!!).

Others who are also waiting for PPR as me may find a due date on the second page of GCMS notes.
My notes show that:
"APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT
Assigned To: *******
Assigned By: *******
Due Date: 2015/08/27"

I have been thinking that a decision could be made by 2015/08/27. It seems that I was wrong because of only two days before the due date.

I don't think due date is very meaningful when it comes to CIC. The due date from my very recent GCMS notes is June 30!

A quick question about applying for study permit extension by papers: does the implied status start when CIC receives (or processes?) files?
My study permit will expire when landing. Thx for ur time ;D, and wish CIC shower us who are waiting for PPRs or other progresses!!!!

A wonderful hope is defeated..... I have been wishing a PPR email comes one day before that due date.... so sad to wait more weeks...

Implied status starts when you submit your application for Study Permit extension.

I didn't mean to disappoint you. Your case might be different.

In my viewpoint, you guys all get PPR probably in the same week. They may want to finalize all the cases together and close all FSW2014 applications(with CPC-O as the VO).

Good luck to all especially farahnz, gavin, perfection, phd2014, wangjinwei and wish you all speedy PPR.

I like hearing different voices which are very valuable and precious. Thanks for telling me any thought of yours!! What does make you feel this? Because of the due date on my notes or the study permit extension application?

I find one thing: previously, the requested GCMS notes always arrived in time after one month; but they did not anymore from the last one and the latest one that I should have received two days ago.
This may be a signal supporting the guess that CIC slowed down, at least changed the previous normal processing of, my (and possibly others') application. Or is it caused by too many requests of GCMS notes?

I always get GCMS note about a month after request. Just got one three days ago.
