Yup friend, but I was worried after seeing people's post saying that their results appeared in a couple of days.....

Thats y I started getting agitated!

Also, I have submitted my kids's new passport's scan copy to CIC today, could it be a reason for delay?

There is absolutely no reason to get worried about that. Now you should expect you PPR in next two months. Updating ECAS is always delayed and doesn't follow any timeline.

Hey blackrock,

I think there will be no more PPR until they clear the huge queue of passports they have for issuing visas.

Brother, I can totally tell that visa stamping is not a time-consuming process at all. Back in the day when Moscow VO had walk-ins available, you submitted your PP from 9 to 10 AM and collected it at 4 PM. It's as simple as rubber-stamping and takes a minor clerk to do the job as there is no review process at this stage.

I agree with you to a certain extend. Walk-in services aren't time consuming at all, because passport holders will be able to check their documents on the same day and before leaving the VO.

However, CPC Ottawa has to assure that every counterfoil and CoPR have absolutely no issues before placing each document in the proper returning envelope.

Thus, I do think visa stamping is time consuming when there are no walk-in services available, which is the case for CPC-Ottawa.

Does it take 10 days to check 5 lines of information that is printed on COPR and counterfoil?

Well, apparently yes. Otherwise why do they take soooo long to send my passport back? :-\

I'd say because of terrible service delivery standards and red tape.

I saw your passport got to Ottawa on the 13th, it seems they are releasing today Jan 13 received passports. So Monday would be for Jan 14, and Tuesday for Jan 15 :D God please blesses my words!

Yes bro you will get it soon.

Hey guys,

Many of us are going to land soon so it might be good to review what to bring with us.

Any special thing to bring except the Passports, COPRs, Letter of financial support, contracts and letter of employment, study permits, proof of address, pay stubs?

I remember a few month ago people where talking about things and documents to bring to the border for landing. I was wondering if we need to bring photos with us? Also about the list of belongings that we will bring to Canada later, should it be printed or we can just write it on a piece of paper? Do we need to have US$ cash or Canadian $ would be acceptable for paying for the charge at border?

Thanks.

Hello everyone,

I have an urgent question and would love to hear your feedback/answer to my problem if you have:

My wife and I landed in Vancouver airport on December and we gave an address in UBC resident to the officer. The address is a UBC-dorm under my name. Today I checked my mailbox and my pr card was in it, but they have sent back my wife’s pr card since she was not listed as resident. What should I do now? Should I contact CIC or? The mail was a regular envelope and therefore, I can not figure out where it is.

Please please help a brother…
