Thanks viva2014. I just saw your post about GCMS notes. Were you able to order them for free? you have to choose under the privacy act and NOT under access to info.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Pepe. I have not ordered yet as it was only $5 option. Can you tell me the link and step by step of the procedure.

P

congratulation for everyone who got their ppr recently .i would like to thank all ppl in this forum because i believe that if i hadn't seen that forum before applying i would got rejected for sure.because i have no TA or RA experience in Canada, only four years of TA in my home country ,didnt know anything about the experience letter format and NOC code till i found this forum.would aslo like to share my landing experience which went smooth, after 20 days of sending my passports,i received them back and went for landing on a week end(not busy now because of the cold i guess)there is some websites that tell you the condition of the bridges to USA (busy or not)(Google them)i went to rainbow bridge and at USA border was asked why i am here and if i have a visa for USA(i dont)-then the officer gave me a pieace of yellow paper and guided me to another officer that wrote our names on a white paper (letter addressed to Canadian border)that we were refused entry and that we only came to land at Canadian side ,then i was instructed to turn back to Canada (payed 3 CAD and 75 cents)then at Canadian border was asked if i had left the country so i gave the officer the passports and paper from USA side and was instructed to park my car in front of a building where the officer asked me for a job offer or a bank statement then waited for 20-30 minutes, signed the COPR and told that the card should arrive within 4-8 weeks.i did the landing on Sunday around 3:30 pm ,no one was in the cic office but me and my family.the waiting line of cars at both side was less than 15 cars.wish you all happy landing ..... ;D

in processing and received my application on october 6.

Hi Hisham984,

Did you receive your medical examination request?

Does anyone know what is the total number of PhD applications they accepted since May 2014? I am afraid by the time they finished processing my file, they would reach the 500 cap.

My application was received on 11th Aug 2014
PER issued on 29th Nov 2014
Further documents requested on 29th Dec 2014

Thanks,

I think you'll receive your PER mail very soon.

Normally, only the person who will get PER can log in eCAS, right?

There you are Viva2014:

https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en

- Department: Citizenship and Immigration

- Individual currently living in Canada

- Your personal info

- Are you requesting information on your own behalf? YES

- Select the category that best describes you. ACADEMIA for PhD students

- How would you prefer to receive the requested records? electronic copy

Then:
Choose it under privacy act and choose case file of your permanent residency application. Then also choose to receive it by email (not CD). From the pdf GCMS note, you will find your application details and all corresponding entries/comments inserted by the visa officers. From their comments, you can observe whether the visa officers have found any fault or incompleteness in any of your documents. You can send them updated documents accordingly. Good luck.

I think everyone who has passed the completion step would get ecas activation. After that it can be either PER or NER. However the chance of NER is very slim but it exists. I saw someone in the fsw forum who got NER and she/he could login to ecas.

Hi Adamant,

No I haven't. I just sent CIC 6-month POF last week. But it is not requested by CIC, I just sent them in advance.

That's a relief, thanks ali_ut88. Please inform me here once you could login to your ECAS or received you PER. I will do the same. Cheers,

farahnz: Today I got access to ECAS. I hope this will lead to PER.

Yes, that's my VO and the VO of many of us. Don't follow this VO as the final decision is made by someone else.
