A friend of mine applied in September and the credit card was charged in December i.e. after 3 months. It really vary a lot, sometimes it take couple of weeks and sometimes it could take 3 months

It varies time to time I think. In my case I sent my file in October first week and
CC was charges on December 16, 2015.

One important thing is if you are using CC then notify your bank in advance there will
be a transaction from CIC in 1-3 months to be on safe side.

I got the same thing from my bank, specially from my Tax free savings account. The bank agent stamped it and both CIO and CPC Ottawa accepted my proof of fund without any problem. One thing, was the snapshot printed in bank official letter? Mine was printed in bank official letter and stamped afterwards!

Hey guys, I got a statement from my bank, something they call "Customer Snapshot." It's a very basic overview of my bank accounts and honestly it doesn't look like an official document, even though bank teller stamped it for me. Is this a document I can submit with my initial application?

Also, can somebody of you post an example of the cover letter you have submitted with the documents?

They must have a valid PR card or apply for a travel document at the Canadian consulate abroad to be able to return to Canada.

All other visas on the passport are invalid even if they did not expire yet.

The only exception is returning from USA in a private vehicle (not a commercial bus), in such case the landing confirmation document will be sufficient.

Dude, you can go to ur home country for visit, but, u need to get a document from the embassy to travel back to canada (I forgot name of that document, but it it is for prs who has not received pr card) gud luck

You mean letter with a letterhead, right? If that's what you mean, no, they just printed it out on a blank paper. I might go there tomorrow and ask them to print it again.

Yes, letterhead! My case was with CIBC, their letters just have the CIBC sign in the top left corner. That together with the stamp was enough!

may be we need to wait until due date.
Next due date of my file falls on 30th Dec. most probably the officer will be on vacation that day (for new year) and he will change due date to another day.

My GCMS should be received this week. In 2 days. I will update you guys. I requested that on Nov. 24th.
A friend of mine received his GCMS last Friday. He applied under PNP. I can say almost all of his due dates were ignored. :-X

I think no matter the due date all our applications are currently in the FSW Jan BIG FOLDER! Dark-Diamond, can you ask your friend what was the last location of his/her file?

Please Dark-Diamond as soon as you receive your GCMS notes, share with us the last location of your file. So far, there has been two people with location in FSW Jan.

Of course I will share the info as soon as I receive it. Just one question. Since I do not have the ATIP forms format (I did not ask it for my new application before), please tell me what does the " file location" mean? Where should I ask my friend to search for it exactly? Which page roughly?

It is under paper file section, latest one is at the first paragraph under this section.
in my notes, it was at 35th page but the page number varies form file to file.
