Help guys,

My application is returned because of a missing document.
Do I still have time to send a new application? Should it be before Jan 01?
Should I print new forms and get updated documents, or just add the missing document and send the application back to them?

Thanks.

Sorry to hear that :(
When did you send your application if I may ask? and Did you get notified before receiving application in the mail that your applications was incomplete?

Sent on Oct 10, returned Dec 19.

Hello,

I sent my original application (under PhD stream) without police certificate. Now, I was wondering if you know when they will ask for police certificate? Is it at the same time that they issue PER or sometime later than that? (How long after application filed?)

Also when they request for police certificate, do they give you a deadline for submitting that?
The reason that I'm worried is because in the case of my country it takes at least 4 months to receive the police certificate (if you apply through the embassy) and there is a chance that I will get police certificate request earlier than the document itself.

They may ask you few months after PER, or maybe one month after PER as happened to many new applicants including myself. They will give you 60 days only to send the documents. If I were you and if your PER has been issued already, I would start applying for PCC right away. May I know what country you are from?

Thanks pepe for your response.
I have not received my PER yet, however my credit has been charged (last week). I have already applied for police certificate, but as I said, it takes at least 4 months to receive it.

Does anyone from Iran know a faster way of getting the police certificate? I mean a way that does not require going back to Iran. The 4 months that I mentioned is for the interests section of Iran in Washington, DC.

Hi guys

I am asking this for one of my friends who landed 40 days ago but have not received his pr card yet. What are his options if he want to go back home in holidays and come back after without receiving his pr card?

Thanks for your help

Guys, I have a question.

My passport will be expired after 3 months. I am sending the documents this week.
What will happen if they open the documents (lets say 4 months later) and see that my passport is expired?
I am in the process of renewing my passport now.

Thanks.

They will ask you to send the copy of renewed password. Don't worry. Send your documents.

When you apply for the first time, your passport must be valid for at least six months. If you haven't received the new passport, please send a letter to explain why.

What was the missing document? It is a good thing that you have time to complete the application, I sent a few days after you, and if it ever my application fails I won't be having time to complete it.

Hey guys, I got a statement from my bank, something they call "Customer Snapshot." It's a very basic overview of my bank accounts and honestly it doesn't look like an official document, even though bank teller stamped it for me. Is this a document I can submit with my initial application?

Also, can somebody of you post an example of the cover letter you have submitted with the documents?

Thanks a million.

They must have a valid PR card or apply for a travel document at the Canadian consulate abroad to be able to return to Canada.

All other visas on the passport are invalid even if they did not expire yet.

The only exception is returning from USA in a private vehicle (not a commercial bus), in such case the landing confirmation document will be sufficient.
