The expiration date is 2016. They suddenly decided to replace cards with new cards which have no benefits over the old ones. It sounds ridiculous but it is true.

I believe that untill you activate the new card, you can still use the previous one. So, don't worry at all.

No, just a PhD attestation letter and enrollment services letter. I was afraid of sending transcripts and confusing the Visa Officer with completion of PhD program.

Call the bank ASAP and ask to talk to a supervisor. Let the supervisor know about your situation. Tell them that you need this card active for one or two more months. You are expecting a Gov of Canada charge that is extremely important for you to remain in Canada. Describe the situation worse than it is. Tell them that if you can not get this charge they may lose you as a client.
I am pretty sure the bank will help you.

Thanks for your reply Viva. My Bank sent me a notice that my old card will no longer work after that date and I HAVE to activate the new one...

Do you think there is a way to reach CIO and tell them about this issue?

The thing that I do not understand from GCMS is:

There is an activity called: selection! and the status is not started! I am wondering if all of you have this activity? If no, this maybe the reason for the delay of my passport request.

I suggest you to call to the credit card office responsible of your bank (phone on the back of your card) Branches rarely deal with credit card issues. If it is CIBC, I can certainly tell you they will ask you to call Visa or MasterCard.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Going to the branch might be a better option than talking with someone over the phone. These directives are however central and might not be reversible. For guys applying in the future, just to let you guys know that you have the option to pay your fees online and submit the receipt with your applications. That was what I did. All the best.

Can you please make this letter different to the wording of the PhD attestation letter? Also, are you already a Dr.? If you are already a doctor, you may want to consider adjusting the grammar. For example: I confirm that XXX has been working (better say: I confirm that XXX worked). As a Graduate Research Assistant, he assists me in research activities (better say: As a Graduate Research Assistant, he assisted me in research activities.

Finally, change the top and bottom parts of the letter. It looks exactly like the PhD attestation letter and it may confuse the Visa Officer at CIO.

So you mean you passed all eligibility, criminality and medical check in GCMS?

No. The GCMS note was updated before my medical request. But in the note, it was mentioned that if the applicant passes the eligibility, request medical and RRPF. I received medical and RRPF 10 days later, it may mean I passed the eligibility!

My security was not started at that time.

I am wondering what is the selection activity? Do you have this activity besides criminality and security? or I am the only one have this activity? :'(
