Anybody recently got his/her PR card?
I landed on November 8, but I haven't received my PR card yet. When I was landing, the officer checked the CIC website and told me the current processing time for issuing the PR card is 19 days. Later I checked the website and saw the processing time is 16 days. Now it is changed to 24 day. It is now 26 days since I have landed, but no PR card yet.

Hey vivi, I called them this morning about not receiving PR card. They told me that they have already processed my card (so called "accepted") but have not yet produced (do not know what is that). They will mail card by mid next week, 90% chance at my home address and 10% at CIC local office and suggested to give them a call on Wednesday. FYI: I called them at 1-888-242-2100. If you are calling them make yourself free for 45 minutes :)

ufff. no changes/updates for me. >:(

anyone any updates??

Re: Points for education, i am getting 22 or 21

Hi Pepe,

Can you please share your supporting letter of full time study from your graduate office? Our Univ does not give such a letter. I have to ask the department for such a letter. But I have to draft it.
Thanks a lot.

I agree with Viva2014, points granted for an MSc degree are 23, not 21. In his case, he will get 21 anyhow, because he does not have an MSc degree. The other post graduate diploma he holds does not qualify for the FSW class. Only the BSc will give you points (21). I do not think you have to re-take IELTS just to get 1 point more or 2 perhaps. You are above the threshold (6.0 on each band).

If you are not familiar with the CELPIP test, I wouldn't even suggest you to take it. Although it seems to be easier than IELTS, if you haven't studied the format of this test you me do worse than you did in IELTS.

As I said before, you may qualify for the 5 points of adaptability only if you have completed two years towards your PhD. Please ask your graduate office to write a supporting letter to demonstrate you have been studying full time for at least two years.

Good luck and hurry up, PhD stream will become inactive in January 2015.

Unfortunately not :P.

Be patient darkknight. All of us are waiting. It will come sooner or later. Just relax and get busy with your daily job. Waiting for such a crucial thing is frustrating and stressful. So it is better not to think about it at all. Leave it, and it will come at a moment when you do not expect it :)

You should be happy that you are almost done in your PR journey. I and many other applicants are at the beginning and we have to wait for a longer time. Btw, some applicants of FSW2014 are getting PPR now, hopefully it happens for you and others (like Pepe) before the end of this year to celebrate two things together: new year and PPR ;)

Honestly, if I could get my tuition fees to the domestic rate, I can wait forever for the PPR email!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is CPC-O asking for PPR or other offices in different countries?

Hi Pepe,

hope your tuition will be changed to domestic with your yesterday's BIG application.
by the way, did you get your new gcms notes?

Not yet, I ordered them on Nov 7, so it should come this Sunday Dec 7 which I highly doubt or Monday.
