Given that everyone is getting the medical status updated lately, then we can expect passport request soon.

However, if Feb applicants are getting their visas issued now, I feel we should still expect delays! :(

Any thoughts?

Dear all,

I am very happy to inform that I am now landed immigrant of Canada. Below is my time line.

Number of person: 1
Experience: 2+ years of engineering 2147 (primary occupation)
Country: Not from India, as indicated in the tracker

Application Mailed: March 07, 2014
Application reached: March 10, 2014
Payment charged (Bank draft): March 25, 2014
PER Issued: March 28, 2014
New Study permit + bank statements send: June 29, 2014 (Proactively)
New TRV update: August 18, 2014
PRPF request and done: September 24, 2014
Medical Request from CPC: September 25, 2014
Medical done: September 25, 2014
Medical report sent by DMP: September 29, 2014
Medical report reached: October 05, 2014
Passport Request: October 06, 2014
Passport sent: October 22, 2014
Passport reached at CPC: October 24, 2014

VISA and CPR issued: November 03, 2014
VISA and CPR sent: November 05, 2014
Passport and CPC received: November 06. 2014 (sent on Nov. 05 by CPC)
Landed: November 06, 2014 (at Sarnia, Blue Water Bridge)

The whole process took less than 8 months for me. Today, I went to Blue Water Bridge, Sarnia to do my landing formalities. I cross the US boarder (I have US visa) and then return back to Canada immediately. I spend around 20 minutes while going to the US, mostly waiting inside the car to cross the border. I rented a car, hence at the Canadian side I was asked about car ownership. However, they did not asked me any documents. Also, they asked me standard question like do I have goods... bla bla ... then guided me to the immigration centre.

At the immigration centre, I showed them my passport, CPR, driving license, bank statements/records (they asked about settlement fund), study permit. The whole process took not more than 30 minutes. Then I was asked to sign CPR after some correction and congratulated.

Few note:
1. In my GCMS notes issued on Sept. 19, 2014, I was awarded 5 points for my PhD study by Sydney, which is not removed my CPC-O.
2. Also, I am not awarded points for my RA by both Sydney and CPC-O, though I claim these work experience. (In total I received 75 points)
3. CPC did not asked my any documents but I proactively submitted bank statements in June and then updated my new study permit and TRV

Hi Pepe,

One of my friends applied in early of March and she is still awaiting for passport request. Probably you still need to wait.

Yes, thats what I thought. I am just trying to be optimistic but I know its difficult. However, remember pre May applicants were not fully assessed by CIO before transferring their applications to CPC-O!

Any news about CC being charged?

Finally seen the third line. Medicals received. I thought it would make me happy, but it didn't. Hopefully PPR comes soon. Oh Canada!

The third line (Medical received) is now appeared in my online status. I did my medical on 10th and the status has been updated today. I can do nothing anymore. Lets wait then. I also agree with Pepe. We should not expect PPR that soon, since applicants before us have not been asked for PP yet. However, everything is unexpected and no one can predict CIC.

Not till now. Just some early to middle august applicants were charged. This week the priority is for issuing PER rather than CC charged.

FYI: I landed on November 8, 2014 from Sarina Blue Water Bridge, Ontario.

Thank you for the information.

Does anyone know what time documents sent via Xpresspost are delivered in CPC Ottawa?

Does it usually happen in the mornings or afternoons? I sent my PCC yesterday and it hasn't been delivered yet. However, the tracking info says it will be delivered today!

Mine was received at noon. However, keep in mind that Canada Xpresspost does not update the status right away. It may take few hours for them to update it in website.

Really? I didn't know that! Thanks for the info, I was going to start worrying!

If it says "out for delivery", it will be delivered. So, don't worry.

It says "In Transit" and expected delivery "today" :(

To my best knowledge, in transit means the package is still on the way. But I have a very good experience with Xpresspost and it has always delivered the package on time. So, it doesn't seem to be an issue.
