This is interesting. In the email I was sent, it says " You must send the receipt (..RPRF..) to CPP-O. Please submit the requested documents/fees to the following address:..."

Do they give you and email address? Did they ask you to send the documents by email?

Hi,

I've just been asked to submit my new valid passport scan. I think this is a good sign after 18 month of waiting. at first I thought this is passport request but still happy I guess the officer checked my passport info and noticed that it is about to expire. I have applied for my new one and will receive it in a week or so and then will send the scan to them. Will keep you updated.

That's definitely a good news. Congratulation and hope you'll get your PR soon.

Anyone who have already gone through Landing process??

Also, has anyone tried to use rented vehicle for Landing purposes (driving to US and then coming back)

Guys how long does it take to get PR card from the day of landing? ... processing time in cic website says 30 calendar days but I wonder this is true in most of the cases of not??

They didn't ask from me.

Does cic ask for new photos with PPR or at the time of landing?

Yes to both of your questions. Couple people shared their landing experiences in detail in the last 10 page or so of the forum.

Guys,
For landing purpose,
is it necessary to have the minimum fund if you are working full-time?

Thanks,

Officer at the border asked me to present employment letter OR bank statements. So I got the impression that it would be OK if I had an employment letter stating my salary. However, I just presented my bank statements showing that I have more than the minimum amount required.

No problem. I sent the passport on Oct. 16 and it reached Ottawa on Oct. 20. I hope you will hear something next week. I checked our XL tracker and found out that even around 30 days to get back passport is normal. So don't worry much.

Thanks man,
I got it this afternoon.
I sent it last week via Canada post Xpress to the PO box address and got it back in a week.

Is there any other documents that may be needed during landing?
In the information letter that comes with the visas it doesn't name any documents except for the CPR and passports.

Yeah, I know. If it wasn't for this forum, I wouldn't know that bank statement/employment letter is required for landing! That's all they asked at the border, and based on what I read before, others had a similar experience. Btw you would also need some change (less then $10) to cross the border.

Hey everyone,

I just got my passport back with the immigrant visa but noticed that the 'last entry date' is the same as the 'original entry date' (2013) and the original entry date should be 2009. Is this important, should I send the documents back to be corrected?

The mistake was theirs, so I think they should be able to fix it at the border. Go ahead and do the landing!!!
Congrats!
