Great, congrats! what kind of documents you sent them regarding your intention to not live in QC?!

I attached every possible thing I had. Letter of appointment, mentorship letter, initial thesis submission confirmation, joining letter from the new institute, pay stub from new job, letter of successful defence from department, rental agreement in Ontario and changed the address in eCAS too, who knows what worked. Hope it helps.

Fellows, I have a question that is of high importance for me.
How can I delay the processing of my application to 1 month later?

Here is my story:
My application is currently in process and a few months ago they requested additional documents. I submitted the documents 1 month ago and my first due date as I saw in my GCMS was Nov. 7, however I have not heard from them yet. Could be possibly because they postponed my due date or maybe it's because my status got recently changed from single to married. I am not sure but these could be the reasons for why I have not heard from them since Nov. 7. I am also not sure that they have even postponed my due date. Maybe I hear from them tomorrow.

But now the problem is that with the recent rejections for work experiences, I am very worried that my application get refused for the second time because I highly depend on my work exp. from my home country, otherwise I will not have 67 points.

If I can delay the processing of my application to 1 month later (January 2014), I will have new documents that bring me so much benefits: I am defending my PhD thesis in December, I can add my spouse's education, etc.

These together can easily bring me many points. Now, I want to delay my app. until January to avoid the risk of being refused for the second time.

What do you guys think? What can I do for that?
Thanks a lot.

Hi everyone,

I need help finding information on how to update an application when marital status changes? Not just that I changed my last name, but I would also like to add my husband to my application? Where can I find in details how to do that or can someone tell me? Thank you so so much.

Hi there.

Do CIC send confirmation when they receive applications? I sent mine over 3 weeks ago and haven't heard from them.
Thanks

Thanks and good luck to you. Is your DMP e-medical enabled?. I was advised to bring 4 passport size photos just in case they have issues with the e-medical system that day.

Thanks. Yes, I was told I don't need to bring photos since it will be e-medical and they will take it at the clinic. It might be a good idea to take some in case the system is down though.

Not until you receive your file number. All you would know is your application package has been delivered

Thanks so much. What is the file number and how long after application is received should I expect to receive it?

Hi there,

Could someone please tell me whether you can combine partial year experiences from multiple NOCs, in order to fulfill one-year continuous work experience requirement under the former FSW system? I applied for FSW in Aug last year. I worked several months as 4012 (RA/TA), and then Human Resource Professional (1121), and then back to 4012 (RA/TA). The entire work experience together is continuous, and both codes are under Category A under NOC system. However, the officer only counted my experience individually and thus I will need to reply to him urgently.

I know you cannot do it under the new system that took place in May 2013. But I sent my application in Aug last year, and thus it follows the old system.

Thank you very much in advance.

Mary

Hi guys, I just got my GCMS. There is something like:

APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT
Assigned To: FA01772
Assigned By: RK6165
Due Date: 2014/02/09

Does it mean my application would be verified by 2014/02/09?

Also, there are a few notes regarding my application. One is from CIO (2013/02/25), saying "Applicant does not appear to possess the minimum, one-year, continuous, full-time equivalent work experience in a level ), A or B occupation". And later on 2013/02/27, another note says "Letter of reference-related to work experience on file -not verified".

I guess my employment letter is not qualified. Should I re-send one while writing up every word in NOC 4012, as suggested by other fellows in this forum? Thank you!

Yes, your application will be assessed on 2014/02/09 or even very sooner. I suggest you to update your letter as soon as possible. Include "assist professor ... in research activities" , "assist professor ... in data analysis ...." and "assist professor ... in preparing journal articles... " . If you are going to writing up every word in NOC 4012, add details at the end of each duty. So, it won't look like a copy-paste.
Also, make sure that your work experience is "continuous" and equivalent of one year.
I have these on my notes (by CIO): "Minimum requirements appear to be met" and "Letter of reference-related to work experience on file -not verified".

Dear fellows,

After 15 months waiting I finally received RPRF email today that says "This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible in the Class for which it was submitted. Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing;".
I updated my work experience letters 4 times. The last updated letter received ottawa today at morning. So, I encourage you to update your letters whenever you feel there is a flaw in your letter. I thank every member of the forum for their priceless help by sharing their information. I hope those guys who haven't heard from them yet or those who are through appealing procedure get a good news soon.

I think they will start processing the second capacity of PhD stream the next month, as the first one was reached on Sep 2012. Hopefully, the processing time will be 15 months again!
