Never...I only contacted them once recently through the email I provided...That was to notify them I graduated...The only reason they could have known my other email would be if they actually do some background check or maybe check my publication etc...I mean if they google me that's the email address they'll find...But I don't recall providing that email anywhere in my application...

The email is probably forwarded. Isn't it?

Yes my supervisor wrote 37.5 hr/week for about 3.5 years, but according to the CAIPS I was only given 1-yr equivalent continuous full-time work experience. I guess that was at the Sydney level, and now Ottawa is not satisfied...Anyways, who knows exactly what they are looking for...As someone else mentioned, they can always find a reason to reject you if they want...
hi...i was reading through some of your very early posts and you said that sydney asked you for a second reference letter and then issued you your PER?...do you think by any chance ottawa considered your first letter rather than this second one???

Holy cow, that is a lot of applicants. But it seems within expectations. We would have too look last year to compare.

It's possible but I can't tell if that's the case. From the CAIPS it seems that they have my second letter on file. If that's indeed the case, I suppose it's gonna be similar with hamed_hamed_hamed's first application.

Anyways, I will write them an email but I won't really count on that.

Nope...I didn't forward my email from one account to the other. They are separated...
It's directly from OPP-Ottawa to me but to an email address I didn't provide in my application package. Very weird....

It was more or less the same as I applied in March. It was around 450-480 as I remember.

Did really Sydney ask for a new reference letter? That is very kind of them. Does the e-mail you received refer to any specific reference letter?

I was going to say that. Maybe they don't care about second letters. But you know what? They told me we considered your second letter!

Yes they asked me for an additional letter to confirm the total number of hours worked...in my first letter I only said I worked 37.5 hr/week from xxxx to xxxx, but did not calculate the total number of hours myself.

No the rejection email did not specify which letter they considered. Though I'm pretty sure Sydney considered my second letter. It shows up on my CAIPS. There was an initial assessment saying that I did not meet the 67 points. The date of that entry was on the day they sent me the email asking for an additional letter. Later after I sent them my second letter (it was received with a signature on Apr. 8th, 2012), there was another paragraph saying that I then met the minimum requirement. The date of the second entry was the same date they issued me PER.

I wonder if they lost my second letter when transfering the file to Ottawa...But we'll never know...

Have you ever emailed them? if so then you authorized CIC to communicate with you by that email id ?

Persistence persistence persistence. We still have people from November 2011 waiting for medical. It will come soon.

Nope. I only emailed them once using the email I provided in my appplication package, never this one. I have no idea why they sent me rejection using this email. All the previous emails were sent to the one I provided.

I may call to ask them why...just to make sure this email is not some system glitch. It does seem real with all the CIC logo and correct personal information and my file number. I'm a bit confused right now...too much to process...my brain is at capacity I guess ??? :(

Just out of curiosity...I don't know how many of those who got rejected are still in this forum. A couple of questions regarding the rejection email:

1. Is the title "Application:Exxxxxxxxx (your file number)"?
2. At the end does it specified which visa officer it is? In my email, it only says "case officier" but no name or initials whatsoever.

Maybe I'm just being paranoid because of this whole email address mystery...
