Amazingly, I just got confirmation from cic. my old client id on study permit is no longer active. If someone else has similar issue, it may be helpful for them.

Thanks Kevinbati.... for your information. Now we have another story in our archive.... I also send them an e-mail yesterday at cpp-o email ID that ASBERATH provided. I wanted to send my Canadian police clearance but before that wanted to confirm that visa office already received my documents from CIO office. Although I have submitted my home country's PCC already provided them with my application package.

What supporting documents do I nee to provide if I have a relative in Canada for 5 points.

I think first of you need to proof your relation, lets with the birth certicates. Also could be the passport copies of both of urs. Just something which is very authentic without any sort of ambiguity to make it faster.

I think, CIO is comparatively more active compare to the visa office. May be I am wrong, may be the work load or the way of work is significantly different.

I got encashed today. My application arrived at Sydney on Sep 14. No PER yet.

By the way, I submitted a supplemental attestation letter with stamp, which arrived at CIO on Nov 4th. Not sure whether it helped.

Congrats. My question is - he doesn't have to cross the border? Last I heard from someone who got PR 1-2 yrs back, was that upon approval, they would still need to cross over a border and then back into Canada to get it official. Is that the case now?

You need to receive the visa to land. After you land your status will be changed from temporary to permanent resident.
