I think that PhD Students in Quebec cannot apply for this stream. But, and I maybe wrong, I think there is a similar stream in Quebec.

Would you please let me know why you think so? Have you heard sth from somewhere?!? Or maybe, you know someone who's applied?

It's a guess, and I maybe very very wrong, and it is based on this:
(For people who want to settle and work in Canada (outside of Quebec)) on the homepage.
Chances are, that people that are doing a PhD in Quebec would get PR before finishing the PhD, therefore compromising that rule. Again, I don't remember hearing from this anywhere else. You Should contact your university. It seems like Quebec is much easier to immigrate to.

Thanks for the reply.

You know, the problem is that almost all the other PhD students in Quebec that I know, have already applied for CSQ, or they have just arrived in Quebec, and are not eligible yet for this category. So, I can find absolutely no other specimen to ask about their experience!

I do not think that the University can give me useful info about that, and have no idea how I can make sure?!?

I sent e-mail to some organizations about that, but no one replied. You think they will answer if I call?

I have done them. Ecas showed an extra line "medicals received" two weeks after receiving them. And, nothing new since then.

Could we say that they ONLY have been waiting for ur medical results as well as bro's further required document and doing nothing >:( ;)

Hi,

I am just wondering what the definition of 2 years of full time studies is? - an average PhD student needs to register for 3 terms (all year round) in a year. Does 4 semesters then make up 2 years full time in this case?

This topic was discussed earlier! It's plain and simple 24 months... Where do you get the idea of 4 terms! Is it mentioned anywhere in the CIC website?

If you saw the question marks in my post then the 2nd half of your response isn't really necessary!

I wish I could submit the application earlier. :(
Is it too late to submit the applications now? I noticed that 737/1000 application received by May 29, so probably it will be full at the end of August when all of my documents can be ready.

I noticed some one in this thread has applied in early June.

I think till now the initial process may have been finished.

Could anyone applied last month share the timeline?

Anyone here managed to get OHIP with PER?

Are we eligible to apply for CAIPS? If so, will OHIP office accept CAIPS as a valid document to issue OHIP?
