Thanks. Btw, what does "AOR" mean?

Where do you see 'AOR'? What is the context? Perhaps: Acknowledgement Of Receipt ?

I sent my application last February. It is now in the visa office. While I was revising the sent forms, I discovered that I have a mistake in my name written in my native language (Schedule A background/Declaration). Do I need to send an update? and if yes, How to do it?

Definitely, send an updated form with the mistake corrected as an attachment to an email

BTW, was that February 2013 or February 2014 ?

This is the body of the email I've used with success in updating:

Hi Everyone

I just got the email of rejection from CPC-Ottawa. They did not accept the entire period of my RA during my PhD program. I was doing the RA at university for 1 year and at another institution for 3 years. Although the entire work was under one supervisor and on a specific project, the officer excluded the first year of the RA, and awarded me the points only for the rest of the program, so i got less than 67 points and rejected.

I believe it is unfair.

After the rejection of first application, I finally received Criminal Record Check and RPRF today for the second application. Thank you all guys!

Congratulation....what was the reason of rejection of the first application?

Thanks. The first rejection is due to reference letter, duties and responsibilities.

Congrats!

Would you please share your successful letter?

Did Sidney award you any adaptability points for your spouse's education or your Canadian child?

Are you saying that both of the reference letters have the same leading statement and the same duties, but they just approved one of them?!

I think the officer only consider your TA and RA as one year, no matter how many years you wrote.

Here is the rejection reason that I found in my GCMS.

"PA declares following work experience: 1) Post-secondary Teaching and Research Assistantship (NOC 4012) from JAN2011 to FEB2013 at the University of XXX. Reference letter dated 21JAN2013 lists duties matching a substantial number of the main duties, but not the actions of the lead statement as under selected NOC. There is no evidence PA assisted professors. R75(2)(b) is not met. No other work experience is claimed. The PA does not appear to meet the minimum requirement of one year of skilled work experience. R75(2)(a) is not met"

In this note it says that "Reference letter dated 21JAN2013", However I sent an updated one dated 31Mar2014!

The duties between these two letters are pretty much the same, I just added one more year to it.

Do you think it is good idea to contact them and tell them that they should have considered my updated ref letter?

Thanks guys,

In my GCMS says that :

Work Experience: Qualifying period: 14FEB2003 to 14FEB2013

Does this mean that you can NOT claim work experience after submission of your application (14FEB2013)?

Thanks,
