Hi All

I applied for PR under the FSW PhD Stream March 9, 2013 and i received PER on April 4. Since then i have not heard from CIC. Today i received my GCMS notes raising a question. The NOC in the application is 2121000, however the NOC related to my work experience (RA) is 4122000 (Post Secondary Teaching and Research Assistants). Do you think this might make a problem for my application or this is normal?

Definitely a problem, I was rejected because of that reason.
You need to make sure that the NOC in the application (meaning, the one that you ask them to use to assess your experience) corresponds to the one related to your experience. The letter also has to support that and requires a specific wording.

Hi Everyone.
I'm new here and here is my timeline so far (you can add it to the spreadsheet).
My documents were received on May 2, 2013.
Payment was encashed on May 7, 2013.
PER was issued on June 6, 2013.
There are 2 people in my application.

I haven't received any news since June 6.

Hi 2MarriedPhDs,

Can you share with us the rest of the information (such as work experience, nationality, etc), so I can include them as well in the spreadsheet?

RA only; Nationality: Brazil; Current Status: In Process.

Also, I read someone commenting about the score they were given by immigration... where can I get this info from?

Thanks a lot, I will try to see whether this could be corrected somehow!

Dear all,

I am planning to apply as in the PhD category, Regarding Educational Credential Assessment, I have M.Sc. from UK, and my B.Sc. from my country. Should both certificates be assessed by an ECS agency, or my M.Sc. certificate is enough to be assessed? I am the principle applicant.

Thanks,

Hi and welcome,
You can get the GCMS through the Privacy Act (if you're currently in Canada, then it's free). Here's the link:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-personal.asp

It'll take about a month and done by email.

My GCMS notes also cite NOC 4122000, but when I search the NOC online Post Secondary Teaching and Research Assistants is listed as NOC 4012, … and NOC 4122 is non-existent. Am I missing something?

Yet, my experience was assessed by CIO under 4031. Can an application be modified as this time?

No you are not. I had the same code in my notes too although I had mentioned 4012 in my application. NOC 4012 was formerly 4122.

It might be possible to modify that through record correction request (ww.tbs-sct.gc.ca/tbsf-fsct/350-11-eng.asp). I have emailed to Ottawa to inquire about that and will keep you updated.
