Guys, thank God i have received passport request today 7/Apr

However, i have 2 concerns that i need your opinion for:

1) I have 1 month to submit my passports, however, my wife has an exam on 8/May and for that she will need her passport as an ID. (No other piece of ID will be accepted from her). So, what do you recommend ? Shall i send the passports to the visa officer with an accompanying letter explaining that i need the passports before 8/May or just send him an e-mail expressing my concerns ?

2) In the email it is mentioned that i should send the passports for me and for each accompanying family member. My son is a Canadian citizen. So, do i have to submit his passport as well ?

My timeline is as follows:

App submitted: 15/8
PER: 22/12
MR request : 29/1

Congrats and +1 to you. You can call them and ask them if extension is possible. If not, send the passports ASAP with a cover letter explaining your situation along with evidence and ask them if it is possible to issue the visa faster.

Hi Congrats!!
I think u should be fine to get back ur passport before 8th May. I have seen most of ppl r getting back their passports in 2/3 weeks. I myself is waiting and this is my 3rd week. Regarding sending ur Son's passport, I am pretty positive u don't need to send his passport since that is canadian passport and require no Visa on it. However, I would e-mail CIC to confirm that since you also need ur passport urgent so u can't afford any delay. If u r lucky sometime CIC replies very quickly.

Yah my status has been updated to Decision Made, all the four lines has appeared. Its been more than 15 days now since i have sent the passports but i think its normal. Usually it takes 2/3 weeks.
