Hi all,

I landed on Jan 24th, the estimated processing time is 25 calendar days for receiving the PR card, but I'm still waiting. I would need to go abroad on Mar 19th for a 12 day trip. I called CIC call centre, the representative said the PR card is still in processing, even not mailed yet. Have anyone here landed around the same time, and have receive the PR card already? Any suggestions.

This is just a proposed law and I believe that it is a move to checkmate terrorism and fraud.

Do you have any idea how long it will take Ottawa reply back the emails? I sent them an email 9 days a go and ask them about my application process. But not hearing back, yet!

I have a question regarding MR. I have got PER and waiting for updates....Can I do the medical exam before getting the notice? I am living in Edmonton and I heard the schedule of local authorized clinics is really tight. Thanks for any advice.

I'm not sure if you can get medical done before MR as you're given some forms by MR email which you need them to do medical exam. But I'm living in Edmonton as well and I could get my medical done 5 days after MR!

For me it took 14 days. In their website they mention 20 business days.

Although the processing time says 25 days, this is just the processing time for approving your card. Please add another 25 days for printing your card and mailing it to you I was told that by a CIC call center agent I also landed 4 days after you.

Thanks, Pepe84. If I remember correctly, the officer told me it will take 6-8 weeks for the PR card to be received when landing. The representative told me my PR card is not ready to be mailed yet when I called the CIC help center today. Hopefully, I can receive the card before I left. Otherwise, I would need to enter from US by a private car.

Anyone have experiences on applying for the travel document? If there are express procedure for applying the travel document, I may be able to apply one considering I would only have 6 business days abroad.

Any one who sent his passport and waiting for it or got it recently, Can you share how long it took to get passport back these days?

My passport been received by CIC on Thursday or on Friday last week.
