I applied separately for both my parents and my wife's parents for multiple entry visa. For all of them I just checked the box for multiple visa and just gave them the plan for their coming trip. The officer issued multiple visa for all of them for each to the expiry of the passport (3,3.5, 4.5 and 5 years). I have seen many other friends who experienced the same thing. I recommend to mention just their coming trip, as you said May to august 2015.
Thanks for the reply,
The problem is they have changed the forms and now there is no place to choose multiple visa anymore...

Thank you so much friend. This is the post I really wanted to read. I was thinking of leaving Canada on foot and re-enter without touching USA offices, but having you said that I will definitely use my car (to avoid the cold wind) and get to meet USA officers to get the rejection letter, I have no other choice.

Thank you so much prapplicant!
They've gotten much more strict starting February last year. It used to be that, you could just take a U-turn at the Fort Erie port of entry without even entering the Peace Bridge for landing purposes. In fact, this was how I and several of my friends landed a while ago. I just took a u-turn at the POE and re-entered Canada. I did not enter the bridge or deal with the CBP at all.

But apparently, starting February 2014, they have been telling people who were trying to land this way not to do so, and if you don't have a US visa or are otherwise inadmissible to the States, then you would have to get the administrative refusal letter from the CBP before attempting to land. Check out the following thread where people were discussing this very issue about a year ago

Hi guys, is there anyone who sent their application at the end of November or early December and got their CC charged ??
Hi there I am wondering if you are a Dec 1 applicant, if you have been charged. Dec 1 applicants in general FSW 2014 have been charged.

Hi Guys,

I have a quite irrelevant question. I appreciate if you guys can shed some lights on that, I couldn't find an answer online..

I am applying visitor visa for my parents, We would like to get a multiple visa for 5 years for them. There is a form 5752 which we should indicate their travel plans, and we should mention the time that they are going to stay. Now the question is, should I give a five years interval, say from 2015 to 2020 although they are not going to stay the whole time or should I just mention only their plans for the coming year( say from may2015 to aug 2015)? If I just mention this year plan, they might think we only want the visa for this year not issue a long term visa. And if I mention the five year, since visitors are not allowed to stay for that long they might just reject their visa...

Thanks and sorry if it is very irrelevant
Guys please please advice, based on the new form that doesn't have "multiple visa" option, what do you think is the best to do in my situation.

Thanks

Hello,

I invited my mom recently (July 2014) and there was also no field to indicate whether we were applying for a single or a multiple entry visa. The VO at my home country told them that there is no need to indicate what type of Visa you want now as most of them are being issued for Multiple Entries. In addition, the VO also mentioned that Visas for parents and grandparents of students (study permit) or permanent residents will be for multiple entries always and for the entire duration of their passports. Like the VO said, my mom got a multiple entry Visa for 6 years :D

I hope to have answered your question.
