No I am still waiting for PER but yes I can check the Ecas. No clue when it was updated but if I am not wrong it probably right after they charged the cc/bd since this is an automatic process. Once they upload all our information in their Global system then the status of the application I guess automatically generates. However, PER e-mail correspondence starts when they finish their first screening of the eligibility.

GCMS= Global case management system, which is Citizenship and Immigration Canada's (CIC's) single, integrated and worldwide system used internally to process applications for citizenship and immigration services.

You can order as many as GCMS copy, its free but they charge $5 with a tracking number. Although I did not find any difference in the free and paid one. It usually takes 30 days and if by some reason u don't receive by 30 days its better to have the tracking number to locate the status of ur request.

Hey guys, has anyone dealt with WES recently? I sent my foreign degrees to be recognized and although the estimated time according to their website is 7 business dates, after you register and and make profile there is an information about 20 business days needed to process degrees. Today I received an email stating that received documents are ok, but estimated day for completion of my application is January 09, 2014. And that's as you might guess too late. Has anyone experienced similar and is the processing time actually shorter, but they are maybe trying to cover their *ss?

WES said the same thing to me but it turned out that they were at least 15days earlier than they claimed. They said it will take 20 business day, but in my case it was less than a week.

It really depends on how reliable the process back home is. I did not get mine until I was asked by CIC and it took me less than 2 weeks to finger print, mail it home (Nigeria) and have the certificate mailed back to me. I used UPS for both stages. If you are not too sure, you might wanna start earlier hoping your application will progress to that stage.

No, not necessarily. For me, it is still nothing. It means that not all the time do they generate the ECAS after charging CC .

What is the wait time for medicals after getting PER? It seems to be faster for PhD category to get medicals....after PER... true???

Around 1 month. But probably it will be increased since many applications received after September.
