My problem is that I do ONLY TA in the Fall/winter (No RA)
And ONLY RA in the summer (NO TA)

This is what HR letter says. So by this I will never have a CONTINUOUS year in any of them.

Does anybody had similar situation before?

TA/RA has the same NOC code. So it should be combined as its the same job.
The only problem that I find is that TA is not continuous always like in summer some students do not have any TA. So how they canculate the total hours that's a big question.

Thank you chakri264, I will send a letter and will keep this post updated if I had any success or not!

By the way, how can I add my info into the tracker?

Cheers
Meyakanor is the one who inputs the data into the spread sheet. He is busy with his defense. So we might have to wait till he gets free.

I know it says 30 days bit what is the general experience?

Hi happymoose, just share your information here and I'll add them onto the spreadsheet :)

Try to be as complete as possible though.

I have Q from those who applied for the 2nd or 3rd time.

For documents that we already submitted once in the first applcation, such as birth certificate, marriage certificate, transcripts, etc., should we submit documents again, or we can refer to the previous application where they presumably already have them?

Is there any expiry date for official translations? For example, is it OK to submit a birth certificate that was translated 4 years ago?
No, except the IELTS test results, all documents have to be prepared again.
My official translations have expiration date on them. The stamps have expiration date on my translations. I do not know how long it works generally without stamps.

But My notarized document, like birth certificates, has no expiration date. However, you have to submit the original copy. If you want to submit a photocopy, then the copy has expiration date probably. It is my thought, could be wrong.

Wonderful! big congratulations! it was so fast for you
Can you please answer to my questions which are common concerns of many of us:
1. how many hours did you claim for RA for each year? how many for TA?
2. Did you get your GCMS? Did Ottawa award you any adaptability points for your two years of PhD study (without finishing the program)?

Thank you

This is great. Can you share your officer ID? It's at the bottom of your RPRF email.

1. TA 10 hrs/Week, RA is occasional, one summer RA 37.5hrs/week, other RA projects 10 hrs/Week.
2. I got one GCMS before RPRF request, they did give 5 points for two year PhD.

Looks like an application going faster if it's being processed by a "usual" officer... :(

cdhbamboo, your RPRF request letter says that you passed eligibility, doesn't it?

I emailed them my RPRF and medical receipts on July 25, but have not heard back from them. I did not even get an auto-reply message.

Hmm... it ruins all my understanding of how cpc-o operates :)

Anyway, congratulations on becoming a PR!
