Hi. This forum helped me come to Canada and I have been here for two years now studying at McGill University and for that I am eternally grateful. My family left when I was a minor and I made the case that as a dependent minor, the decision to leave and not fulfill the residency obligations was not my own. That was back in 2013. I was trying to help a friend come here the exact same way but her application was rejected yesterday. She was only six years old when she left. Could you please tell me any way I could make a case for her? How do I appeal the decision? How long does the appeal need to be processed? I want to represent her and tell them that her case is the exact same as mine, if required. Any ideas at all would be appreciated. Thank you!
