Dear all

The persons who have received PPR IN JAN from Fsw scheme. Can they confirm date of their AOR.

Mine was 29 Jan (AOR). Am I expecting too early or it will take 2 months at least more. Please suggest

Bckg check is still "In Progress" but today local VO sent additional document request (FBI PCC), essentially giving me an extension and a placeholder to upload on MyCIC, which I promptly did. This is what I've inferred: the bckg check status was probably triggered by and after my file was transferred to the local VO. But does this mean my application has passed through the major hurdles (eligibility check okay etc.) and is now just waiting for final review? I don't know. Anyone has any info on the chances of refusal - based on, say, employer LOR not good enough or NOC mismatch or something silly like that - at this point?

they asked for an FBI PCC several months after AOR? Does that happen?

No, this was a 2nd extension granted message (after I uploaded a LOE in the placeholder a day before the deadline of the 1st extension). They originally asked for it a few days after AOR.

Anyone has any idea re. at what stage does the file get transferred to the local VO?

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to know, about the details to be updated to CIC.

If I resign from my present job, do I need to intimate CIC of the same?

At which point I should inform? During my Notice period or only upon joining new employer?

Regards.

i think it should be only after you join your new employer...Hope you dont have a break period.

AOR# 01-08-16
Got my GCMS notes. Printed on: 03/03/2016.

01/22: r10 OK- LOE regarding FBI clearance certificate on application. ECA Verified....Credential is consistent etc. Refer to Doc for explanation of statutory questions. (It seems explaining in LOE helps. I have a single visa rejection from UK 4 years ago and I have to say Yes to one of the questions..Not sure if i will get a schedule A now)
01/23: File was transferred to CPC-Ottawa for workload re-distribution on 01/23.

I have CSE'd the FBI clearance document in the first week of Feb. There is a section of notes marked as 'Incoming correspondence marked as received in batch' which is timestamped to 03/01 which happens to be the exact date when I received the confirmation of my CSE...

Nothing after that. Since its in CPC Ottawa, i believe its going to be 2+ months!! :)

Do we have to report to CIC about our current job changes. Isn't it only for the cases/applications that have arranged employment in Canada.

If you meet the FSW requirement of minimum 1 year experience and have provided all employment verification letters representing ur current and previous jobs at the time of application filing, shouldn't that be it?

And if we move for 1 job to another in our home/foreign country shouldn't matter, especially when it doesn't effects ur total EE score.

This is what the AOR letter specifies:

Let us know
If your circumstances change you have to let us know. To notify CIC of changes to your application, visit
select the office that serves the country in which you are
living, and follow the directions for "Case Specific Enquiry."
More particularly, please inform us about any:
• Change in circumstances such as the loss of a job offer or a Provincial or Territorial nomination;
• Change in family composition including new born children, adopted children, divorce, marriage etc;
• Change of address, including change of e-mail address;
• Change of immigration representative;
• Request to withdraw your application;

This. No need to provide CIC what they don't ask for.
