AOR in November 2015 - Let's get together

Hi guys. I have a couple of questions:

1. What exactly are there in these GCMS notes? Does it say something along the lines of "Documents were checked for completion on such and such date" and "background check was started on such and such date"?? What exactly do we gain in ordering these GCMS notes when anyway we have to wait until PPR?

2. For those waiting for PPR after application submission, do you know at what point the file gets transferred to the local VO? I live in South Africa so I suppose my local VO will be Pretoria. Should I contact them for status or not? It has been 4 months exactly since my AOR date.

From the record, it seems my file was last updated on 13 Jan 2016. No updates since.

As per G-notes "Assessments" section -
Eligibility - not started
Security - Not started
HIRV - <blank>
Criminality - Not started
Org Crime : <blank>
Medical : Passed
Misrepresentation : <blank>
Other req : <blank>
Final : <blank>

Also, file mentions due date as "2016/02/12"

Form Notes Section :

Note1 :
***Agent Review*** Police certificates R10 OK All police certificates on application; following PC's NRT India

Education Document ECA report verified on issuing agency website; foreign credentials confirmed on ECA site. ECA Canadian equivalency summary reported by issuing agency as WES. Credentials is consistent with level of education claimed by PA under EE Eligibility.

Spouse Education : No ECA or Canadian education provided (I'm married but sole applicant)

Age : Applicants age reviewed and no change from ITA to e-APR

There are people who say they got their GCMS notes where no movement was there except R10. and in a week they got PPR. So we can not be sure what process CIC follows..

So my question here is, what if my family submits a Canada Visitor Visa application at this moment(I will be the invitor), is there any negative effect or is it gonna delay/affect my timeline or even final decision of my PR case?

Spoke to BCPNP, they say they will continue to support my nomination, so I've sent proof of this

Now I wait and see. :-X

i have got a question.. we had to renew our passport. We have got our passport last week.. now wondering how to update or let CIC know about our new passport? Can anyone let me know please??

I applied the visitor VISA for my parents, our status won't affect their application. You just need to show CIC that you parents have properties and business in the country they from and won't immigrate to Canada.
