Just a useful tip for everyone waiting: calculate the 6 months cut-off from the date the last documents were received. For most of us, we would have sent some documents after AOR (like FBI PCC or other updates etc).

Well I was asked to submit travel histories of my kids just two weeks ago. I don't want to calculate six months from then!

Hope not! Theoretically, the 6 months is not from AOR as we (or I) had assumed earlier. It is from the date the application is considered complete. I guess PCCs would be considered a part of the basic package without which an application is considered incomplete. Not so with kids travel history I would think. Good Luck!!

Never ordered for gcms notes :P
After seven months, when I had spoken to the call center, the agent had told me that it had been transferred to NDVO on a specific date. Also, on the PPR letter, I can see the visa office as a confirmation.

Thanq for reply, if i call the centre then will they tell me by when can i expect PPR.

yeah, good point on when to start counting the 6 month period since technically it begins from when IRCC considers your application complete. For me, that's the AOR date since I had literally everything ready upfront, including the FBI PCC. i knew they would take 3-4 months to respond so i requested it ahead of time back in Oct 2015. I got it mid March, submitted my application and had my AOR a week later

if you don't mind sharing the number of the call centre ?

From page 101_AOR MAY 2016:
<1-888-242-2100 (only from within Canada)>

Last week it went from ip to nn and I have no clue what that means.

Yeah! I already knew that your MED had changed to NN, and I was asking about new updates dear! ;)

Mine just changed to NN!

That'a great step forward ☺️

Well mine moved to nn last thursday, and I'm curious what's going to come up next.

Did you hear from csis? Of course as you already know, it's not just csis that conducts the bg check. Local agencies are also involved and considering the amount of workload my home country's intelligence is dealing with, following the very unfortunate events that took place this year, I can't begin to think how long it might take them to respond to cic's enquiries!

I have a question to my friends whose names are given in the list above. You all have bg ip, right?
yes

Thank you so much for the information. You're right. I know many people with CSIS's letter at hand, but they have not heard from CIC yet. But when you have CSIS's response, at least you know that they are done with your security check and now it's CIC itself that is causing the delay.

BTW, I understand you are an outlander. I'm an outland applicant too, I faxed a request letter including all the details they ask for on their website. For the "Return Mailing Address" I just included my friend's address in Canada to receive the reply. I did not fill out and attach the consent form. Does this sound about right?

Thank you in advance!
I used an lawyer with a consent form, the same I use for the GCMS.
