It seems like it is quite slow the process of PR this year compare last year. Those who received an AOR last january most of them has not PR yet. Correct me of I'm wrong.

Yeah, I understand you have job as per your work permit & LMIA. I doubt(please clarify) there should a permanent job offer from your employer stating that "They are providing permanent offer and you are inevitable for their business(... something extra). So that your status need to be Permanent in Canada". I attached a letter similar to that and my friends who have PR as of now done the same procedure.

you assumption seems right Kim, this year they are taking longer time then 2015. Last year one of my friend got his PR within 3 months after AOR.

I have heard that CIC is going to finalize all the old pending applications(before express entry) by end of this year so it might be slower for us.

Most applicants in India are receiving their PPR in a little over 5 months so I don't think it can be considered slow!

A question to everyone who has received their PPR, what have you had to send off with your passport? and how long has it taken to receive your passport back?

One of my friend submitted his PP through VFS and he got it back along with CoPR in 6 days!

If the employment in your present company doesn't change , there is no need to inform CIC about the travel - raising a CSE (case specific enquiry) is the best way to reach them.
