Most of the universities dont accept students into phd directly tough they have finished their masters in india. They need to do M.sc over there. so this is the reason most of the masters completed students step back from going to canada. If you have a strong research background and some thesis published then you might be lucky.

I am saying this not to dissapoint you but just to let you know before contacting supervisors.

Bro i am not saying you to try.
I have no idea about other countries. some universities in canada admit you in m.sc and if they think you are over qualified within a period of 6 months they transfer you to phd program. But the negative point over here is if you dont deserve it then you need to continue your m.sc.
