Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Minsan kasi busy rin sila and di nila inuupdate application mo piece by piece. Kung sinubmit mo NBI, upfront Medical at passport mo mas mauna pa yatang darating yung passport mo sayo na may visa kaysa lumabas na Approve na pala visa mo. Kung wala naman malalman mo na lang Approve ka na lang. Kung walang medical or NBI hihingan ka nila, opportunity nila yun para itabi muna application mo and move on sa ibang application. May time kasi silang kailangang habulin. Kaya bibigyan ka nila ng sapat na oras para magsubmit ng required documents. Madedelay application mo.

Salamat, kapatid! And yes, included na young NBI, upfront medical sheet and passport ko when I submitted my application. Was just curious kung bakit there were no changes or updates hehe. Thanks again

5 years gap sa master.
Kung may masters ka na why will you take a diploma di ba.
Make a good argument why this course will help you in a career. Siguro i-reason out mo na specializing ka.
A good example is yung pinsan ko na tinulungan ko Civil Engineer and nagmasters na siya pero kinuha niya Engineering design and drafting. Around 30+ yrs old. Napapasa ko. Reason is specializing siya. Natouch nila sa course pero hindi focus, di tulad ng binibigay na course dito.


Sa medical naman.
Physical Examination, urinalysis, CXR, HIV, Syphilis
Yan ang gagawing examination sayo.
You might need to issue this concern sa SOP mo. I'm not 100% sure if diabetes is one of grounds for refusal pero kasi nakalagay na inadmissbile ang tao sa health ground if they will be a burden in the canadian health system. I think it mostly apply for incoming PR and temporary lang status mo.
I would suggest that you address this concern and argue that you will get a medical insurance for your husband and you will shoulder all the expenses for his medical.

thank you so much for that suggestion. magandang idea nga po ung mag-specialize ako kaya diploma ang kukunin ko. engineering (ece) din po ang bachelor ko. ang master degree ko po medyo nalihis pero may touch pa din ng communication..

kailangan ko na po agad i-state sa SOP ang health condition ni husband kahit na ang plan ko ay ako lang muna ang magfile ng study permit application? ang plan ko po sana ia-apply ko lang po si husband ng owp after ma-approve ng study permit. or gagawa pa din po ako ng another SOP pag ia-apply ko si husband ng owp?

hello. I noticed most of you here were accepted in colleges in Ontario. Ok po ba talaga mag-study dun compared to other provinces, like Nova Scotia?

Same question here.. majority of students talaga are bound to Ontario.. Mas malaki po ba ang chance for PNP sa Ontario? How about job offers for IENs?

Yes po, our agency even sent a copy/photo of the receipt to CIC.

I've read from some posts here before that some people brought cash with them. That way, at least you don't have to wait for the bank to clear your funds and you don't have to pay for wire transfer fees. Sabi nila, you just have to fill out the declaration card that you are bringing over 10k.

Hi! I've been conditionally accepted sa Makami College in Calgary, and over our agreement with the school, my tuition fee will be paid on my first day of class (September 18) in cash. I simply explained in my SOP that I would just bring with me over 12k CAD for my tuition and another 10k for my living expenses and pay the school as soon as I arrive. Is this okay? or would the visa officer be suspicious because the money is not wired? Thank you!

Makami College is private college. There is a chance that you will not be granted a post grad work permit.
Did you asked them if their int'l student got a PGWP?

It is okay if the money is not wired. Make sure you just have enough funds if they inspect it in the port of entry.

Kung di mo dadalhin siya irrelevant sayo ang sakit ng husband mo.
Kung kukunin mo siya dun mo na ipapaliwanag.
May letter of explanation rin para sa SOWP ng husband.

Maraming may mga kapamilya sa ontario at maraming pinoy doon and they get free accommodation.
Kumpare sa ibang province mas maraming colleges ang nagooffer ng easy life sa international students.
Aggressive rin ang ontario sa pagpromote ng school nila. They even offer Jan or May intake and unlike other province mostly September lang ang umpisa. Dahil rito competitive ang PNP sa ontario. Yung ibang nagmasters nawawalan ng chance kasi nagoover flow na mga masters graduate.

I am not really sure if Makami College grants PGWP but just to make sure, my brother advised me to change DLI to Mount Royal Univ or University of Calgary once I get accepted into these schools again. Thanks Kapatid!
