hi,.. is that 2 months or is it 2 weeks before their classes, nagbabalak dn kasi kami ng 6 weeks early arrival kaso risky daw according to some seniors baka madeny sa POE, baka sasabihin daw na masyado maaga at balik na lng if malapit na pasokan.

Well, we're going there 2 months before classes starts, lol, no kidding... I don't find it risky, just make sure you have all the documents ready.:-)

Yes same day, it will take about 3-4 days before you receive the passport, I think you cannot follow up Sa embassy... Ilan taon na yung kid mo?

Ang aga mo s Canada. When will your classes start? Saka what univ? It's good u got LOA immediately. Have you open a bank account?

Ummm.. If you backread the forum, you'll know that I arrived in Canada pretty late. My classes started on May 22 and I arrived here on May 19. Yes, it's a must that you'll open a bank account immediately. You don't want bringing along your money with you or leaving it at home. And as for the LOA, you'll get it right away if you've been accepted or it depends on the school's policy. And btw, a hard copy of the LOA isn't necessary. I used the one that the school sent to me thru email. So, it didn't take long for me to receive it.

As what @dbc said, it's not risky as long as you have all the documents with you. It's hard to get settled here. They'll understand that. I wished I was able to come here earlier but then again, I applied for my visa later than what I am supposed to. :)

so opening a bank account needs LOA from the school? I am planning to open this Aug when I visit canada so that when I come there next year around July. I can immediately send my money to my bank account without carrying with me, $100 maintaining balance I think is safe. Do you think its possible?
