Morning po sa lahat...

I have read and heard stories about students in canada.
Na realize ko lang. If getting a student visa is the easiest route to go to canada
And you want to survive the whole duration of your stay...
Then get a course that offers a CO-OP PROGRAM...

Pag may co-op program kasi... UPON LANDING you can possibly have your work permit (pag mabait yung immigration officer) or PAG NASA CANADA ka na you can apply for work permit which is free naman and can be issued in 2-3months time DAW. Madali lang iprocess tapos the school will guide you how naman.

In that way, you can WORK LEGALLY in canada.when you say co-op program kasi you can work in ANY JOB ANY EMPLOYER ANY PART OF CANADA/BC tapos iauuthorize ng school mo. (As to my understanding)

There is that great desire and hope na sana makakuha rin ng work para masustain ang daily needs mo and may mapadala sa family here in the philippines.

From end of december up until now... Sun once in a while! Weather is not harsh unlike sa ibang place na parang blizzard araw araw reaching to -30 and beyond... Vancouver has the best weather nga daw in canada... Or BC in general...

Tapos the school has a co-op program. Mababait sila - they have no worries as to their studies. Which i hope ginagawan na ng paraan. anyway, they can look for a job on their own naman. They are allowed...

Pag kasi wala ka work permit, pa sideline sideline lang. Di ka makakakuha ng high paying job. Under the table siguro pwede. Pero it will always be risky...

hello po,

salamat sa pagshare ng mga experiences niyo. I will be heading to Canada next month palang, at natagalan kasi ung visa ko (i just got my passport yesterday).

anyway, Good Luck and God Bless sa lahat! :)

Hello.. :)

What do you mean by iba character sa family info?

@ kyle :

i always feel glad everytime i read your post here. you never failed to share/give useful information to aspiring Canada visa holder. what you have shared are the info's that i really need before deciding to enroll (maybe) at vipm or other school in Canada (in case i decide to choose the student visa route). you're husband is lucky because he was able to get a work permit and above all he has a relative to live with. but maybe for those who does not have relative there just like me, the situation will be very hard. now i have reasons to really discern and pray harder. mahirap na mapasubo because the amount of money that my family and i needs to shell out is really big :) thanks to you :) btw, i had a friend request for u @ fb. :)

No worries... Anytime! :) me and my clp was once at your place and i felt the same way.
Mahirap talaga mag decide...

Success is sweeter pag pinaghirapan.
Yung clp ko ramdam ko rin hirap ng loob niya pero he is so eager to find a good job
As of this time, busy siya secure ng mga anik-anik...
I just need to remind him always that he has to be strong for us.

BC ID
BANK ACCOUNT
PHONE LINE

Tapos he needed to process din basic requirements sa pag apply ng work...
First, yung BC CARE AID ID NUMBER AND ICES ASSESSMENT niya.
Second, yung DRIVER'S LICENSE niya... Last week napasa na niya knowledge test
This week road test naman...
Etc...

So yun, it's so early pa nga siguro para mag panic. Anyway, sa school naman he's enjoying their company. Super! Masaya nga ako at nawawala depression nila once in a while pag nagbobonding sila. Support group na nila isa't isa. Saka tulungan sila sa paghanap ng work at connections dun.

If we have high determination... Whatever challenge there is di kayo panghihinaan ng loob

As what I know, even if you took a 2 year program na walang COOP, you can still work off campus. You just have to apply for it with the help of your school. And you must be a full time student to qualify.

In regards to COOP program, ang lam ko kasi dito this is like OJT sa atin. With pay nga lang sa Canada. Yes it is better na may COOP yung course mo, kasi once nag COOP kanina, minsan ung company na pinag workan mo kukunin ka na nila full time. So once nag graduate ka di ka na mahihirapan maghanap ng work.

Apparently, those who are studying in Canada are the one who wanted to settle down there. Under CEC program, you have to make sure na di ka scholar ng any of these:

studied in Canada under an award from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA)

or

studied in Canada under one of the following Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) programs:

Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship Program—Student Exchange Program,
Government of Canada Awards Program—Student Exchange Program,
Canada—China Scholars Exchange Program,
Chile—Canada Equal Opportunities Scholarship Program or
Organization of American States Fellowship Program.

You have an option kung scholar ka, apply as temporary foreign workers under CEC as long as under NOC O,A,B

You also need to maintain a grade of 2.0 para ma qualify sa CO OP. Base sa mga nababasa ko, ung mga nag co op, di sila kinukuha ng mga employers mostly because of poor interview skills. And based this sa website ng cic kailangan ng 2.0 na grades. And it doesn't mean na may COOP ung course mo, 100% makakakuha ka ng job, depends daw kung gano ka kagaling sa interview.

sa mga mag aaral pala sa Ontario, here are the lists ng colleges sa ontario, ung ranking nila pag dating sa employer rate/employers satisfaction/students satisfaction/graduates satisfaction. Ung KPI un ung date sa Canada. Di lang sa school, also when it comes to crime rate etc.

Sweet Jelly I also have a chinese name. Pero di ko naman ito ginagamit in any government ID. I don't think it's necessary.

As what I know, and as recommended you should apply 3 months before the school starts. Which bihira mangyari. Most of the time kailangan ng medical exam. kaya un iba di na umaabot sa start ng class nila. so i think you can apply four months before the school starts.
