Good day everyone

Just wanted to confirm if we get the AOR of PR application submission directly in our personal email or does it go in the email of your lawyer, with whom your application is linked? If its the latter, is there a way to check that your application has been submitted? I wired the government fee in her account, so she did the payments too, it was not through my credit card.

I did pretty much everything myself, but then hired a lawyer/representative in the end just to review and submit the PR application. So my application was linked to her account. As per her, she has submitted the application but I haven't received any AOR from her yet, and she is in an unresponsive state (not responding to my calls/texts/email). Again, just wanted to confirm if we get the AOR in our personal account too, even if the profile is linked to the representative's account?

Thanks a load. Eagerly waiting as my deadline is approaching.

If I recall correctly, the online account has a messages section and it is there that you should see an 'acknowledgement of receipt', commonly referred to here as your AOR. I don't remember getting an e-mail for the application submission, only for any receipts related to upfront payments.

really appreciate your reply/
yes there is, but the last message i got there was that my application has been linked to another account, and that very application was not visible anywhere in my profile afterwards.

Yeah, you'll have to ask your representative to forward it to you. That sucks though if she is not replying. Just hope that means she's on holiday.

Only the representative will get it.
Really appreciate your reply. Are you 100% sure? Secondly, can you be kind enough to tell if there is any other way to check for confirmation. My lawyer is not responding to me at all, its been weeks.

Only representative will get it.. The other way for you to know is call CIC call centre and select option to know your status via IVR. The same status as it is on the application except Background check is voiced out..

She popped up a week ago (after constantly nudging for 2,3 weeks) saying that she will send by day end, as her network was hacked and all, but she's disappeared again. I see her online though, I don't know the reason of not shooting a response, as I cleared her fee upfront.

It will be great if you can share any contact details or the procedure to do it. I hope it doesn't hinder the application in any way. It should not, but then at this stage, we all are extra cautious :)
