hi..i started my ph.d in sept 2009 and got married in july 2010..my husband got his vistor visa in August 2010 and came to canada in sept 2010..he then changed his status while in canada to open work permit..it was pretty easy for us...

Hey Megha,
are you in Canada now? because me and my husband want to apply together as student and dependent respectively but I am worried too about dependent visa.. so common guys tell us your experiences about dependent visa?

Yeah, I am student here since 2008. I got married last year and my husband applied for OPW at New Delhi VO. He was refused based on family ties. Hopefully, since you're applying together things will be different. Good luck!
