I'll be eligible to apply for citizenship in mid-July or early August. I turned 65 last month  so I'm not required to take the citizenship exam. [A misguided rule perhaps, but I'm happy to take advantage of it!] I'm trying to find out if this will make the processing time any shorter or quicker. Any of you have family or family friends who applied as seniors, and what was their experience? TYIA.

Processing times does not depend upon the age. It depends upon how cic offices are busy and depending upon application to application.

You still have to be called for the interview. Yes, it is faster on that day, coz the others need to take the test before being called for the interview. Seniors are called straight for the interview and you could be out of the office faster...

It won't be faster (apart, as others have explained, on the actual test day).
