Dear friend,

I just wanted to know that if some one had applied for skilled immigrant to
Canada under Registered Nurse Category. Please let me know if you got you'r

Please confirm that how long cic take to debit money from account(credit Card)
once they receive the application... Thanks a lot

I am worried as I have applied on 8/11/10 and cic received my application on 18/11/10
and now they have issue a statement on their website that cap for 1000 nurse has been
filled for this year. Please let me know where im standing at the moment....Have they
consider my file in that 1000 or not.....
Check it on........... cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp
I need an idea that how does it work for Nursing people for processing of file...
Please do share you experience.

Thanks
Vicky

Hi Chandi...

I couldn't see your forum except PCC from UK...etc
I hope you had sorted out that for you..!!

I can understand U had applied from SL in Jan2010 and
got AOR in APRIL2010..... Any idea how long it will take
that they would call you for medical?

If my file would be in that cap then from your case I can get an
idea that we gonna get our AOR in Feb2010....Finger Crossed!!

Pray for me.....

hi, i already got a reply from CIO...they are asking me to resubmit my IELTS result within 120 days...because i have submitted IELTS -Academic instead of IELTS-General....So, i will be retaking the IELTS probably by March...They have nbot processed my application yet. Prior to applying to the CIO office i have already taken my IELTS - Acad..that's why, it's the one that i submitted to the CIO...

Well, i hope and i pray that i get the same results that i had with the Academic...or better....

No AOR yet...They just gave me UIC and Application #...Is the application # and AOR the same?

Thanks for the info...

God bless us all...

dear friend I got my application back as I have filled wrong score for my IELTS
in application. Secondly they have raised the issue for family background as well.
I put my wife's full family information but not mine...as she was the main applicant.

Any suggestion?
Should we go for IELTS General now as IELTS would be expire in March?

what about the family info if a couple is applying?

I am RN. I have sent my full documets in oct 2010.. Waiting for medicals

hello vicky19... i am an RN as well but pre june 26... the best way to pay is through CC as you will know whether your application got through or not... if they do not debit your account then it's not so good news...

my question is, since they returned your application, did they attach a letter that you can re-send it? did they return all your supporting documents as well? because if they have returned your supporting documents, and did not inform you that you have the option to complete and return them, like what they did with myquietheart, then taking the IELTS will be futile because the cap has been reached and they no longer accept RN applicants until june 26 of this year... so that means you will have to wait until then...

i hope that sending your application back does not mean that they have rejected it entirely... i really do... simple missing information or typographical errors such as writing PHILIPPINES on the VO of preferred instead of MANILA, PHILIPPINES warranted applications to be returned...

in the application guide, it is required that the principal and the spouse should complete the ADDITIONAL FAMILY INFORMATION FORM... you are required to fill the said form as well because you are the spouse of the principal applicant...

i hope everything works out well for your canadian dream... try e-mailing them and give them your details and ask them if you were one of the 1000 RNs that made the cut and if you have the option to re-submit your application before you do anything, in the interest of not wasting your time and money...

myquietheart... may i know when you took your ACADEMIC IELTS? i still have trouble believing that the CIO will reject a more difficult test... anyways, goodluck to you as well... ;D

Dear Canimmigrant,

thanks a lot for your kind interest and reply,
Actually CIC had returned my application with all the supporting
documents. Actually I did mention on application that main applicant's
proficiency is high in all module and which wasn't in reading.

Secondly they haven't debited the money from CC, now the Ielts will be
expired in March and I am wonder as myquieheart required General IELTS.
Should we go for General IELTS as well, and what about the PCC?
The PCC (From UK) I had was issued in June 2010.
Best of luck to you!!
Thanks

hi vicky19... please educate me as to what PCC means?

i'm not really sure about this, but i believe you did not make it to the 1000 cap for nurses as they have returned your documents... this means your application, from their initial evaluation, did not satisfy their office... unfortunately, the cap has been met for nurses and you will have to wait until june of this year before you can re-apply... this is just my intelligent opinion... to be sure, send them an email...

when your application gets through the initial assessment (meaning all documents are in order, all the points you have awarded to yourself are correct, and you made the 67 point mark) they will create a file number for you at their office, just like what they did with myquietheart... if there are any documents they require further from you, they will inform you (again, just like what they did with myquietheart)...

so i really suggest that it is in your best interest to email the CIC whether or not you can re-submit your application under the nurse category before you make any further plans... otherwise, start preparing for submitting your application this coming june... since your IELTS will be expiring, make sure to re-take it and take the General Training module in compliance with the CIC requirement in preparation for your re-application this coming june...

make sure to follow their application guideline TO THE LETTER... thoroughly check everything 3 to 5 times before submitting... ask your wife to look at it as well to make sure you did not miss anything...

i wish you well... i hope this helps... goodluck! ;D

hi guys, i already took ACADEMIC-IELTS prior to applying to CIO....i took it last march 2010...i was planning to apply for a working visa back then...but then, there have been change of plans...so, i decided to submit my documents as well as my original IELTS-ACADEMic results to CIO last november.....

fortunately, after 2.5 months of waiting, CIO replied through email and they are asking me to retake IELTS..this time...GENErAL training...they said that i need to take GENERAL-IELTS in order for them "to continue the assessment of my application.".

So, i will betaking the IELTS again this march 5... Hopefully, i will get the same OBS or better in order to get the 16points for CAnada...please pray for me guys...thanks

let's pray for another
