hi, is there any chance that the CRS score is not correct? If so, how can we report it?

I just had my Celpip scores reevaluated and I am expecting an additional 50+ in my score but after updating my profile, i barely get additional 19pts.

all my celpip scores are 9 and above, have 10 yrs foreign experience and 1 yr canadian experience (same NOC), ECA assessed as bachelors degree. i am currently on open work permit. with this, I am expecting to have my skill transferability under foreign work experience to be 75. 50 for having 3 or more foreign work experience with celpip scores above 9. and 25 for having 1yr canadian experience with 3yrs or more foreign experience.

however, i only have below:

CRS - Skill Transferability - Education 38
CRS - Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience 50

can you advise if my understanding is correct?

Hi,

I have ee profile on cic already. Coz I don't have high enough score, I decided to do EE BC PNP for 600 extra point.
But I checked today and noticed it says all express entry BC PNP have to submit through online application after July 2nd. I 've been prepared my documents without going back to check the change. But Ive already submitted paper application on July 16th....So what should i do now?

Hi Vvarma,

Could you please give me ur email id? I tried sending u message here but since ur inbox is full it failed.

Thanks.

Dear Asivad,

Hope you are doing well. I have a query regarding criminal record.

My husband had a case in Indian court and court acquitted him of all the charges couple of months ago. It was a private frivolous case by our relative. In fact, police registered a criminal case against him (our relative) on our complaint and to put pressure on us he registered a private counter case in court. My husband was never arrested by police nor any case registered by police against us. Charges been framed against my husband by court and later got acquittal. There is no criminal record on my husband as in India private complaints don't count as criminal until one get convicted. So, he will get clean police certificate.

My question is :- shall we declare this in our EE application as there was no police case as well as criminal record?

Please help
Regards

I'm answering this purely on common sense here and others can weigh in with their inputs as well.

Unless the PCC shows up a criminal record, none exists as far as CIC is concerned. Check your spouse's PCC and if it mentions anything remotely connected to this case then you should upload an LOE explaining in detail as you've done here.

If the PCC doesn't mention this, keep it out of your record, no LOEs needed.

All the best!

Dear Asivad,

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply once again. You are a star.

What if Police certificate shows this case? I am sure it would not be on PCC as my husband consulted lawyers. But, in case if it on PCC, then we surely have to declare it.

You can't hide it if it appears on the PCC. You will then have to figure out how best to represent your case. Talking to an immigration lawyer would be in order in such cases.

How this will affect our application according to you? Will a good letter of explanation plus certified copy of acquittal from court Suffice?

I would imagine it depends on the severity of the offence. If something didn't result in a conviction, it should be easy to explain away and request the officer to treat it as an aberration.

Regards

It would be a concern only if a case like murder, rape was filed on your husband. From what I understand from your statements, no FIR was filed by the police against your husband. I don't think this will affect your application.

If the PCC does not mention this, then well and good - Its a clean slate but if the PCC does mention this, a proper Letter of Explanation along with the court documents to prove that he was acquitted of all charges will suffice to convince CIC.

I wish you and your husband all the very best ! Good luck with your application!

Thanks,

Raj

Hi ALL, I just have a question about the employment letter. I am working at the bank as a Telephone Sales Specialist and trying to apply under NOC 6235, and I just got the employment letter from my manager, however, she mentioned that it is not allowed by the company policy to include any job responsibilities and duties into the employment letter. So I just got a very basic employment letter that includes the date I started the job, the salary and nothing much. I was wondering in this case what should I do. Should I ask my manager to issue me a separate reference letter??

Anybody could help?

And I am not sure if my job can qualify the NOC 6235 too as my duties include openning personal cheq/saving accounts, credit card applications, Line of credit, and other basic personal banking activities, but I don't sell mutual funds or mortgages, so was wondering is it likely I would be qualified for NOC 6235.

Thank you in advance for everybody's help!

I Received the Passport request today. I have couple of queries. Can anyone please help me on that?

After I submit my application, I got married and my spouse is PR. I informed the family status change to CIC via email on June. They did not reply with any confirmation and few days back when I called to CIC Call center they informed that since my spouse will not be included in the application so they will not give any confirmation. My question is
1. On the bio-data from should I include my spouse name or only my name?
2. Do I need to send my marriage certificate and my spouse's PR card with the passport?

Can anyone please help?

If you have any question....i will try to answer all your questions....

Hi,

My question is regarding Proof of Fund. I got ITA (in FSW) last week and am currently working in Canada (from last 1.5 years).
My Canadian account has around 3000 CADs and my Indian NRE account has around 8000 CADs equivalent amount. I am planning to get POF from my Indian bank first. Do you have a specific format? Can you send a sample to my email id- 89robinm@gmail.com?

Thanks
Rob

Only if prompted for travel history supporting documents.

Hi Asivad Anac,

I was not asked for the old passports but our travel history is mostly recorded in our old passports. Will it be better to upload both the documents?

More questions regarding proof of funds, I saw in one of your post you mentioned the exchange rate will be based on the date the document was issued by my bank, so my bank will state the amount in my local currency? And Do I need to furnish statements from all the financial institutions where I have accounts or just one account where I have sufficient balance.

Thanks in advance

No harm in doing that. Add an LOE as well.

It will be in the local currency. Just the account where you have sufficient balance would do.

Thanks in advance

If you want to improve your CRS, repeat IELTS and try to score at least 8 in L and 7 in R/W/S.

As for job bank registration, have you created your JB profile and linked it with your EE profile? https://seeker.jobbank.gc.ca/seeker/
