in the event of an extension refusal what are my options? My husband has 30 days to leave Canada? Or can we apply again with restoration and prove pr application has been sent? How do we prove Pr application was sent other than receipts please?
You can attempt to restore your status.valkyrie79 said:in the event of an extension refusal what are my options?
Usually it is ASAP, so two weeks is about enough time to leave. 30 days sounds a little too much.valkyrie79 said:My husband has 30 days to leave Canada?
You can.valkyrie79 said:Or can we apply again with restoration and prove pr application has been sent?
Receipts does not prove a PR application was sent. AOR is the way to go.valkyrie79 said:How do we prove Pr application was sent other than receipts please?
It usually takes 45 days.valkyrie79 said:How long does it take for Aor? Will it be more than 30 days? Basically do I have time to submit Pr application before getting removed if I have received a refusal? I'm still waiting on background check and I can't submit application without it hence the delay in sending....thank you
PCCs must be valid when received by CIC, not when they actually look at them.Jalex23 said:Background check as in security check? Usually that is done AFTER the application has been sent as that document has to be valid when they use it, not on submission. As the "security" stage can happen more than a year from now, sending the security check uprfront is not recommended.
You really need to stop working yourself up about the extension.valkyrie79 said:in the event of an extension refusal what are my options? My husband has 30 days to leave Canada? What are you hoping CIC will be flexible on?valkyrie79 said:I know Canuck I'm trying very hard but do you think cic will be flexible due to the fact we did get married as we promised from the first approval? We have full intention of applying for Pr but just a need a bit more time. Hopefully the officer will be lenient
