Is the Edmonton office working at all? Absolute disaster this is! With availability of vaccinations, you will think updates should start rolling in.
Really eager to know everyone's view of how and if we can make a case to get Edmonton office into motion.
I'm planning on going downtown within the next couple weeks to sit outside the office with a banner. I don't know if that will help, but maybe if there are a few of us the media might notice?

I still haven't received an email yet but my status on the new application status system is changed to citizenship test In Progress and online test must be taken between June 4, 2021, and June 25, 2021.
You should probably call IRCC to verify that.. Some people have been getting similar notices in the new tracker but no email.

I am a June 2019 applicant, FP submitted twice and earlier in old system it was showing " Decision made" but with new application tracker it is showing in process.

Anyone noticed the same thing??

And ya Edmonton office is not even going at a snail pace..
You've been waiting since Feb 2020 for your Oath Invite????

My Timeline:
- Applied: June 2019
- Status Application Filed: September 2019
- Application In progress: October 2019
- Online Test cleared: 24th May 2021

Since then, no status update on my cst-ssc tool. Still showing: "Take the Test - Waiting on You". Does anyone know how long do they take to update the status in the online tool?

I had a look on Government of AB website and found this

Stage 3 reopening
Stage 3: Two weeks after 70% of Albertans 12+ (born in 2009 or earlier) have received at least one dose. Expected to be effective in late June or early July.
All restrictions lifted, including ban on indoor social gatherings

Isolation requirements for confirmed cases of COVID-19 and some protective measures in continuing care settings remain

https://www.alberta.ca/enhanced-pub...BFKZ6BQfyUdkegwqG34pjvuUGOEaAm6uEALw_wcB#open

If everything goes according to the plan, and once stage 3 is in effect ( Late June or early July) do you guys think local IRCC offices in AB can still use public health restriction to not resume in person services ? As IRCC employees are under Federal jurisdictions, how does this work? Anyone has any idea?

Das, apparently everything is open in Edmonton but the IRCC office! From what i have seen around, this is a myth now that IRCC is not working due to COVID, highly unlikely! They should come up with a more realistic reason of delays.

That is why I am asking these questions as for now they can still use COVID as an excuse to limit their in person service to the public but what about when we will enter phase 3 of reopening when all restrictions will be lifted ( very soon according to the plan and if everything goes smoothly), can they still use COVID to keep limited in person service? Do they have some kind of federal health regulations that they can use to not resume in person service ?

This delay is unreal..I mean cleared exam in January 2020 and instead of couple months after test,if it takes years to just give an oath then this is terrific!!

Edmonton IRCC needs to wake up from a year long sleep but looks like they are answerable next to none..
