Would it be difficult to board a flight bound to Canada with expiry date remaining only few days like 5 days on the card ? I know with all risks being reported by CBSA officials upon arrival.

You will be able to board the flight with a valid PR card, als long as it is still valid, even if it is just some days.

As you already point out: The trouble you might have at Canadian Immigration once you land is a different story (Assuming that you are not in compliance with the residency obligation).
