Hey there, I have two questions:
I'm a Malaysian citizen who wants to marry my Canadian permanent resident (PR) boyfriend, who is a Honduran citizen, in Malaysia.
To get married here is relatively easy, but the Malaysian authorities need something called a "single status letter" from him to show that he's legally able to marry (which he is).
First question is, does he need to get his "single status letter" in Honduras or in Canada? Because there's no Malaysian embassy or consulate in Honduras, only in Mexico. But he's a Canadian PR, so I wonder about this.
Secondly, I read on this forums that there is no problem if someone wants to sponsor his/her spouse, but has no income.
I'm confused. Based on a particular link (that I cannot post, dang it!), it says that basic annual income is required? Please clarify.
Thank you very much in advance.
