In my notes from January, 2017 my husband pass medical, eligibility criminality. Security-It was blank. So finally i went to MP, and my advise to all of you Ahmelina23 and strenght2 do not wait until your time is up to contact MP. So, today MP confirmed that they are still waiting for security check to be completed. How long it will take he does't know. But i should follow up with MP office mid. March and they will be calling Ankara again.Advice- do not let your file just sit there.

Security is the most serious stage and might take time, but I really hope it's almost over! I'm pretty sure they're doing security check for my husband as well because he gave them latest police checks at the interview 2 months ago.
I can't go to MP yet, I'll contact my lawyer this or next week first.

I think police check, it reflects criminality. Security check, it's different and it takes time.

Just for sharing my happiness. I got my DM on Feb 17, 17

BGC went to in progress at 9 am (Ankara time), and sponsorship side on ECAS went to DM at 4 pm (Ankara time) on the same day.

I paid RPRF on Jan 25 online, and they received my receipt on Jan 31 by courier (Post) they answered my enquiry on Feb 17, and the officer told me by the email they got my documents (RPRF and eIMM5669) on Feb 6. So I got my DM after 17 days that they received my RPRF.

Hi Mona,

I am sponsoring my husband from Iran. His background check went to "in progress" in myCIC since 24 Oct 2016. We are still waiting after 4 months. Hope yours will be shorter. But in general security check may take most of the processing time and it seems it is harder for the male applicants.
