Its seems that between 15 Sept. to 20 Sept..file has not been touched yet at visa office

Hello Everyone

A Very Strange incident happened this morning with me going to share with you guy:

This is in regarding a Call which I had received in the morning at 8:30 am for 10 minutes from an 888 576 8502 and person (Name: Charles Smith) had mentioned that they are calling from an Immigration department-Ottawa on my immigration case.


He had my date of birth details, email, my Indian residential address and some relevant information regarding Permanent Residency (Immigration). As per him, they have got a request from an Indian Embassy (Indian Immigration) to update me that i have provided CIC with Wrong Date of birth and Residential address of India. He.He told me that i have a case in Indian supreme court and one in Canada. He said, there are two ways that I can settle that, either I have to go back India in order to update the status or I can do here in Canada . He wanted to find out my visa No. and my residential address in Canada. He.He also said that i will be deported to India in two hours if i don't cooperate with him.He said that one of officer will come to your address to verify my document today by 5 pm.

After listing to all his concern i asked him why i will be deported as i have a valid visa.He said you provided CIC with wrong address and date of birth.

This was the time when it strike me of reading one of the topic in this forum on fake calls.Thanks for posting it.

I asked him 'before i give you any further information did you speak to my lawyer about it' he hang up on me.
I right away called up my immigration lawyer and informed him about it.He told me that this was a fake call and don't answer any question over telephone. PNP officers can call you but CIC never calls.If CIC has to contact you they will email or mail you.

Anyways guys i thought i should share my experiences as some one else blog has saved me today.

Don't use any public network or social media to upload your personal information.

well, thats really to know. thank you for those information. I just wondering did u say that you application havent been in process yet. how come it take so long ? as I know for PNP , it just takes 6- 9 months???

I have to add my wife to file.which I did it on Feb .

oh, so you mean it takes longer than usual because you added your wife to you file ? do you know how long it take for PNP applicant to get PR? is that 6-9 months ?

FILE RECD: 18 SEPT.2013
AOR & MED: 20 OCT.2013
MEDICAL RECD: 28 OCT.2013
ADDED SPOUSE:14 FEB.2014
RFPR REQ: 20 FEB.2014
CURRENT STATUS: IN PROCESS

My file went to CIC ottawa..Please share your time line and lets track it

oh, so you mean it takes longer than usual because you added your wife to you file ? do you know how long it take for PNP applicant to get PR? is that 6-9 months ?

Well right now it quite fast but as per my visa office it should be anytime between 15 months after your application have been recd to CIC.

And Yes it delay your file by two to three months for sure to add your spouse in later stage.
