Hi guys,

I urgently need to make sure whether I have the required experience or not by tomorrow, could anyone tell me if I qualify? (just in terms of time worked)

Work experience:

May 13th 2013 to Dec 11th 20013
April 7th 2014 to September 8th 2014

Thank you so much for your help

Why don't you give it another 10 days or two weeks just to buffer? It seems you're right on spot! If I were you I would definitely wait a little bit more longer to gain more calendar days!

Number of days are fine and account to a year. You also needed to have worked for 30 hours a week and no unpaid vacation time.

Hi, thanks for your answers :)

It is a long story why I want to do it right away....

Yes I work full time, I guess I had 1 day unpaid vacation (I took 5 days, I have 10 days per year and worked 5 months) will that make my count go wrong for the year?

Anyone knows how exactly CIC calculates the number of hours, days, months or weeks? I used http://www.timeanddate.com/date/duration.html clicking the "include end date in calculation" and I get 368 days, that means that even if I get one less day (unpaid vacation) I still have 1 year right?

Thanks again

The calculation is pretty simple, 30 hours a week for 12 months/a year! They do calculate the days, just to let you know in my case I was 5 days off, but they miscalculated my work experience by almost 3 weeks. I emailed them and a day after I received my medical request. In reality I was 5 days off (no doubt), but my VO was kind enough to let it go.

Also please do not sample my experience. I had brilliant reference letters, even from a government position that I had, so I guess the letters eased the way through as well. I never got any vacation and I never got a day off. Case to case, VO to VO differs and there are so many other elements and factors in the way for determining the eligibility.

Then again, if you can wait for couple of days more, please o please do it. It's not worth the stress.

Good luck,

May 13th 2013 to Dec 11th 20013 I count 30 full weeks
April 7th 2014 to September 8th 2014 I count 21 weeks

51 weeks is 1 week short of a year (52 weeks). I would strongly recommend working at least one more full week,
