Hi all,

does anyone know how long it takes France to send the results to the embassy?

a month,at least that what happened with me,by the way any one know how long it takes in amman office to response for an email?

Hello everyone. After 22 months in stage 2, my husband finally got the long awaited email! Alhamdulliah rabil alameen.

I'm so happy!!!!

Here's my timeline for those who are curious:
-Sent application to CIC in May 2011
-Got approved for sponsorship in June 2011
-Application received in Damascus on August 29, 2011

Then a loooooooong period of nothing

-Then in Dec. 2012, husband was asked to redo medical

Then another period of nothing

-Then finally on June 16 2013, got the GOLDEN EMAIL!!!

I received a letter in the mail from the VO. The letter arrived to my house, so its correct address and correct name on envelope but not the correct name in the letter. The letter has a different lady's name.

In the letter they are requesting documents. I already sent these documents and they confirmed they received it meaning this letter was sent before the confirmation.

I'm worried about the lady who was mentioned in the letter. Were they trying to reach her too? Am i supposed to let them know about this? Or do you think the same way I got her letter she got mine? Help!!

You can go to your MP and explain what happend with you .he will contact the embassy and inform them BTW .can you write the name of the lady here maybe one of the members know her !!

I've got a reply from Amman,they told me my case sent from Ottawa but didn't reach Amman yet,they say it is still in transit ,any one with similar case could no how long it takes to reach Amman

Hi evan,

I can see that you filed your application the end of december, lets say January. Its been 6 months! This is the first time I hear the first stage lasts this long. But i do remember reading something about the post office being on strike and anything sent by a courier may take awhile. I would suggest you search about this and see if this is true I might be mistaken.


Sorry, the strike is apparently only in Edmonton or something like that so this isnt anywhere near your file. You should really dig deeper into this and see whats really going on.
