My 3-year old son and I (both American's) entered Canada on a visa-exempt (American) visitor entry in mid-November 2015. We both have NEXUS. Would it be OK to go to Point Roberts for a day, and come back to Canada to gain an additional 6 months on our Canada visa status. I assume since we have NEXUS its very unlikely we would be questioned/denied entry to Canada. Can anyone confirm. Is it better to go to Point Roberts or Seattle?

If we entered on 1 Nov 2015 we have 180 days to leave. So my calculation is April 29, 2016. Does that mean we can leave anytime on April 29th, or do we need to leave April 28th? Thanks.

Nothing guarantees re-entry. Including Nexus. There's always some chance of refusal. Leaving and returning also doesn't guarantee you'll get another six months (entirely possible to get less).

If getting another six months is a priority for you, the far better (safer) option is to apply for an extension from within Canada.
