Alternatives for Birth Certificate

Dear All,

Hope this finds all of you well and fine.

I would highly appreciate if anyone of you could help me out and advise on the following:

I will be God Willing applying under the FSWP and have an issue with one document i.e. Birth Certificate of Spouse. (I'm from India)
Problem: I do not have the original Birth Certificate of my spouse. However, I have managed to gather the following:

1. Affidavit by my Spouse which includes her DOB and parents name and the affidavit is signed by her.
2. Aadhar Card
3. Voter ID Card
4. Duplicate Birth Report - from the Embassy of India
5. And I will also be writing a Cover Letter to explain the issue. (I don't know if it is required)

Can you please tell me if the above would be sufficient or I still have to arrange for more documents?
I'm almost ready and would have to spend additional time for sorting this out.

Looking out for positive and helpful posts.

You can submit affidavite from the parents or SSLC certificate (10th std.) with DOB and parents names on it.

Only the SSLC 10th with the parents names, is acceptable, the other documents that the OP listed won't be accepted.

The ICSE documents don't have either parents name.
The name is only mentioned on Certificate of Migration and that doesn't have DOB mentioned
The statement of marks has DOB but no parents name mentioned
The pass certificate has DOB but no parents name mentioned

Only the SSLC 10th with the parents names, is acceptable, the other documents that the OP listed won't be accepted.

So basically there is no alternative? As the 10th is ICSE and they don't have parents name on it.

Heard that we can submit affidavites from parents for our DOB. I have submitted SSLC certificate with parents name on it and it was accepted by CIC.

Just for anyone who needs help on this:
I did the following:

1. Affidavit from the person itself
2. Affidavit from both parents
3. 10th Pass certificate and bonafide
4. Intermediate bonafide
5. Unique Identification Authority
6. Voter ID
7. Embassy Statement

Hope this works out.

I am facing similar issue with my birth certificate:

1) I have an online generated copy of my birth cert from Corporation of Chennai
2) My name is not mentioned on the birth certificate
3) My father's name is in initials in my birth certificate but in full in my passport (like A.B. XYZ in my birth cert but Arun Barun XYZ in my passport)
4) Only first name of my mother is mentioned in my birth certificate but first and last name mentioned in my passport
5) My 10th certificate has my birthdate and name but not either of my parents
6) My father is deceased and it will be hard to get an affidavit made from my mother from my home country.
7) I have PAN card with my fathers name on it.

Seniors, kindly advise.

Well I can tell you what I did, and CIC approved my documents.

Get the following done:

1. Cover letter explaining your situation
2. Affidavit from your father
3. Affidavit from your mother
4. Affidavit from yourself
5. Aadhar Card
6. Voter ID Card
7. Your 10th Memo with Fathers Name
8. All other possible documents where you have your DOB and Fathers Name

All notarized and attested.

Hi,

My husband will be the primary applicant and he does not have Birth Certificate.Since he studied in ICSE board, 10th score card does not display his parents name either.

Kindly advise what can be the alternative.
