Why are you disgusted? They never guaranteed you it would be done by 12 months, that's just the average. People on here seem to be super entitled.
Well they make people think they are guarantee it in 12 months because why else when you called they keep saying you are within your 1 year processing time.

What does it have anything to do with being ‘entitled’ or even ‘super entitled’? When you see people with similar cases as yours or much less solid cases (e.g. just had a few weeks more than 3 years, frequent and long periods of time spent outside Canada , periods of unemployment, frequent address change ... , someone here even got arrested for assault charges ... etc , all became citizens within 6-8 months, while yourself with more than 4 years at the time of submission, steadily employed, same address the whole time, consistant tax records, i.e. , easily traceable records, and have been delayed with no explanation from the officials, why would anyone not be frustrated by this lack of transparency? Wouldnt you have the same reaction if you have similar experience in a store, bank, or walk-in clinic? How is this any different?
Sometimes it’s seems like they try to work and the most difficult application before they handling the simple ones to make it look like they are extremely busy.

A person would be "super entitled" if he demanded citizenship after one month, but to say that to someone who's been waiting a year is just plain heartless. As taxpayers, it's not too much to ask that our applications be completed in a reasonable time.

And the OP is not even “demanding” citizenship after a year , but rather looking for an explanation of why, but obviously is not going to get one

It’s right that they never guaranteed 12 months, but rather (from my useless new webform response, freshly received a couple of hours ago) “Although the estimated time may vary, rest assured that we are making the necessary efforts to process your application within established processing times.”

But the reality is: after 11 months of waiting, including “in transit” for nearly 4 months and then 3 months in local office with no change, it is hard to believe they are “making the necessary efforts” to process my application, it actually looks more like they are not making any efforts at all except telling me that they are making some imaginary efforts that nobody can see any results to prove

They never said they will guarantee how long it takes. I was about to apply before Harper changed the rules, did that piss me off, Yeah, but that's how things work. You're not entitled to a quick application process. Also you don't know what they are doing in the background, so unless you know that they are slacking off, you're being very entitled, and in the wrong.

I agree 100%. Everyone is entitled to a fair and open process for something that affects our lives in such a crucial manner.

Some people have a typical immigrant mentality based on certain back home countries. Where you don’t question or challenge the government. Accept whatever is handed down or dictated to you.
And who said they weren't being fair and open? If you apply for your notes, do they not give them to you? If they don't then you can claim not being transparent. Also about the part where you don't question or challenge the government doesn't make sense, what are you challenging or questioning? How long it takes? You're pretty clueless to be blunt. If they told you you're not eligible, and you were, that I could understand, but your application being in a huge backlog with many thousands of other people as well as them admitting they are behind because of a backlog is not questioning or challenging, it's actually just making things slower and not accomplishing anything. I'd claim the exact opposite of what you're saying, some people thing that coming to a Western country just means you can complain about everything you don't like, and that's not the case. I've been here for 13 years before finally becoming Canadian, while others only 4 or 5, do I care? No, they got their in a different manner and legally just like me. So stop with this entitlement.

Is that why they said they were disgusted? If you're simply looking for an explanation, you're not "disgusted".

Doesn’t seem like you even understand what “entiltled” means, but just like to use it to sound sophisticated... lol

It's called normal processing time, so if it's within that time, it's normal, if not, then they can start looking into why it's taking so long.

No, I know what it means. It sounds like you have no argument, so you're resorting to trying change the subject. That's all it is. Bye.

Same applies to you as itsmyid. You don't have anything to actually say, so you're now trying to be funny. Since you think you're funny (you're not) how about you prove "the professor" wrong with your pen, and tell me why you're entitled to a citizenship grant in under 12 months.

No need to waste your time with this one, I already regretted wasting my time with someone who keeps using words like “entitled” but has no clue what it means - do yourself a favor and stop replying to his post - and no matter how badly he wants to continue the argument I will just ignore LoL

You're funny, I've already told you I know what it means. I think you don't know what it means, you should do a quick google search on what entitled means. If you can show me where on the CIC website it says you're entitled and guaranteed a citizenship grant in under 12 months. I'll give you 5,000$. I'll wait.

I would be very interested to know what your views on 'entitlement' would be before July 23 and Aug 16 (based on your signature). Its very easy to cross the finish line and then sit back and comment on 'entitlement', but alas i don't have a time clock.
