Hi,

I am new on here...my spouse was refused a visa from India as the VO said our marriage was not genuine!!!! I have appealed and just received the blue book...does anyone know what the next step is and how long before I hear anything?? I have appealed in Vancouver so hoping for an expedited ADR??

what is the 'blue book' same as GCMS notes ?

chances are low that you will get ADR. It is only given when there ae 1 or 2 issues that can be resolved. I wouldnt hold my breath for that.

On the bright side, I think the waiting times in Vancouver are reasonable. Best to hire Imm. Consultant/Lawyer for that.

I appealed in September 2012 and the reason of refusal is my hubby tried to come to Canada on an LMO and got denied a work visa and other reason is we have a 5year age gap. I hired a lawyer and they said I can most likely get an ADR as there is only 2 reasons for refusal??

ok, yes, you have a good chance for ADR. You may want to ask your lawyer about wait times in Vancouver (best to be prepared)

Toronto appeal waiting times are about 2 years (28 month for me) Vancouver is much less. Please let us know when you know.

The blue book is the whole file that the VO has to send back. I am 20 years older than my husband and we won the appeal. We got full hearing in Vancouver. Notice for appeal sent first week of January 2012 and in April we got our date for the full hearing... that was the last week of June. May you get your appeal soon and win it!!!

Wow. You got through much faster than I. We sent in the request to appeal late September 2011, I think it was April I received the full hearing date, which was mid May in Vancouver. We are STILL waiting. Medical results were received nearly two weeks ago.

Wow. You got through much faster than I. We sent in the request to appeal late September 2011, I think it was April I received the full hearing date, which was mid May in Vancouver. We are STILL waiting. Medical results were received nearly two weeks ago.

Sorry to hear this!! Why are some people getting their results faster than others? that's not fair at all?!?! Is it because of where you live?

Habibti and and I are with different processing offices, but still- it's unjustified. I will never understand out experience with immigration. It's crazy.

appeal won in Toronto August 2012. It is sitting in Ottawa ' application received' . No movement

My MP and her office has been amazing. Unbelievably amazing.

I also received an acknowledgment letter dated Feb 28th 2013 on March 05th 2013 from IAD that they have received my Notice To Appeal. I also received many pages of instructions, what to expect etc. I also received the same day(March 05th 2013) my caips notes via e-mail dated March 1st 2013.
