Hi rainy_june,

Its 14 months to my application now.. i called SINP and all she said my application is in process... i asked how long will i have to wait further.. she said we don't know but its in process... and kept saying this... you can call and follow on... basically now Family member stream changed to Family Referral and almost impossible to apply in family stream now... this change was due to the high number of family stream application intake due to lenient requirements... even one supporting family member supported 20+ family application at a time... this has led to increase processing time to infinite that SINP people themselves don't know the processing time limit of family applications that were filed before change...

Hope for the best...

smile_2good,

in god's grace, maybe my file is also in process? what do u think?

what do u mean about Family Stream into Family referral? in my case I have a brother living in saskatchewan and our application is under in PNP. all cases was really unpredictable. I just do believe in LUCK. processing time is not advisable to believe in now a days. really hard to wait. In your case about 14 months now, I believe that u will get update soon, very soon. Good Luck to all of us here and may we get good news very soon! :))

Hey rainy_june,
you are absolutely confused between SINP online status check and CIC E-cas status check,
You have applied in SINP not in CIC.. you don't have any E-cas number to check because you haven't applied in CIC yet.. you will get E-cas when you will apply to CIC after nomination.
Now what you have is SINP file number... First if you have sent paper application then you have received SINP application number (i.e 10XXXXX) via email, you can't check status online because you have applied "PAPER APPLICATION"

IF you have applied "ONLINE APPLICATION" in SINP then you can check status online because you have "User Name" and "Passwrod". you have to have user name and password if you have applied online.

Thanks Smile :)
Too Good!
++ for you

No response at all. I doubt if they can sincerely answerthat question. My sponsor says it looks like they're overwhelmed.

I remain confident that we will hear from them pretty soon and we're sure the number of applicants will greatly reduce going forward.

THANK YOU! :)

Hi Seniors,

I have few questions. Could you please give me some guidelines?

1. During applying I filled up the Federal Forms and sent only photocopy of those forms (kept originals with me). If i get the Nomination after several months (inshallah), i have to send the originals. However, if the information provided there is changed by then (i.e. by then i will travel some countries, etc..), should I not update the info in the federal forms? Or should i send the previously updated form only.....

2. During which period/ phase of application process my employer may get the call for inquiry? My boss uses to travel abroad a lot. He mentioned his cellphone number, office number and email address in the Reference letter. I am afraid if they call on phone number and he might be not available in the country .....

Thanks

Shadow

I can only comment on your first question. The federal forms that you will send to CIC for processing will include all the previous and all the new details i.e. traveling history etc

Thanks! That means i have to fill up the forms again with new information.

I see the big changes are there in the SINP policies effective from 1-5-2012.
I am (many of us, indeed) blessed (Al hamdu lillah) as we could get the sponsor of our relatives and could attend to submit the application without Job Offer.

Many sponsors who were making ready the files for submission are very much upset at this new rule .... i heard that many appeals are presented to the SINP authority to extend some more days to receive the application without Job Offer ....

Yes, so federal forms will really matter post nomination.

Good for u its just 11mos. For mine, 16mos was passed since I received my application file #

Dear roayns

I am in the same boat,, waiting since 14 months and even i didn't receive any additional request..
when you applied there was rule that you can show funds in supporting family member's account..
have you shown funds in your supporting family member account?

when i applied rule changed, that every applicant must show funds in applicant's account so thats
why i have sent my own account statement...

Your application will not be effected by new rules. All applications, received prior to 1 May, 2012, will be processed according to the pre-existing criteria. so don't worry about that...

i have contacted office to follow on the application couple of times but received just "in process", i even called office and all i got answer for processing application is that its in process. No one knows the processing times for applications as huge number of applications were received by sinp since last quarter of 2010, this is why they have almost put an end to this program. People have applied 20+ applications per supporting family member that has led to a huge backlog. Now all we can do is wait for our turn. i wonder there are 4000 quota each year for sinp which might will increase to 6000 this year but how they will adjust the tremendous number of applications filed during lenient requirements.. Rob Norris (hon. Sask. AEEI minister) said in legislative assemble meeting that we will see 12500+ immigrant coming this year... hope we would be one of them... ;) :) ;)
