Well I have been a silent user for a very long time because this Canada immigration takes too long to complete. Well there so many things I was to clear out because so many things have changed since I applied for immigration. I applied for AINP (Family stream) in Nov2009 for state sponsorship well I was telecom engineer when i applied now i work as SAP consultant. Then got state sponsorship in OCT2011. Then applied for CIC in DEC2011 and just after that i got Australian PR. Well i stayed in Pakistan coz i wanted to live in Canada not Australia. Then I got file no from Sydney Canada 23-01-2012 (I guess know as AOR) then London office replied (i dont know when it ended in London) in 03-04-2012 for some doc and ielts. I sent the req docs by 03-04-2012. Now I am waiting for my medicals and I m in Australia now and my wife is expecting.

1. How to update CIC about upcoming child? Wait till he is born or reply now
2. When to update CIC about Australia? Coz just landed and just resigned from last job may be i go back and join my old job again?
3.I applied for my CAIPS and I see in my CAIPS that "EFL pls rqst:l Meds,RPRF" Anyone has any idea.

Salam and thanks a lot so much for your kind and hopeful reply,InshAllah i will soon recive the reply from cic london but still i am little a bit

confused that will they send Additional documents request,MR,and all things in one E.mail or send step by step? and how much time cic

London will give to complete the MR,Because in June i am going on annual vactations to Pakistan,can i complete my Medical in Pakistan

or it will must be completed in Saudi Arabia? :-\

CHC, London takes too long in your case but hopefully you'll get MR & RPRF very soon. May be they'll ask you to update few forms & PCC once again along with it as you are an old applicant.

1: You can update CHC, London about new addition to family once child is born. Afterwards they'll send you an email to what to do next like they'll ask you to pay processing fee for new born & upgrade few of your forms & will ask for few documents like child's passport & birth certificate.

2: Yes its compulsory to update CHC, London if there is ANY change in address. Kindly check out following paragraph written in almost all emails that I receive from CHC, London:

Should your personal circumstances (address, marriage, divorce, birth, death, adoption) change between now and the time you leave for Canada you must report the changes to us. Visas issued without the correct information concerning family status are invalid and admission to Canada will be refused.

3: Sorry I have no clue to how to translate CAIPS notes. Its better to post your query at Pakistani Federal skilled Forum as there are many experts over there who can help you in translation of these notes.

Well nobody can guess that you'll get just Additional doc request or MR along with it. Its upto CHC, London which is too much unpredictable.

Also nobody can assure you that how long will it take to get MR. Usually most of the recent applicants got it after 4 months of submission of Add Documents but since January, all applicants are getting all these steps altogether.

You can request them to do Medical examination at your home country once you got MR because for that you need forms specifically for Pakistan.

A couple of my docs were signed by EFL (seems to be the person handling the case). So it seems like a request for Meds and RPRF.

I am new to this Canada immigration process

RPRF = Request of Permanent Resident Fees(Landing fees) which we have to pay to get PR visa. It is $490 CAD per adult. Usually we get this request along with medical request(MR).

PPR1 = Means sending photocopies of Passports, an updated form & sometimes photos to CHC, London. According to Pakistan Law we cannot send our original passports outside the country thats why we have to follow this additional step.

PPR2 = means sending original passports to CHC, Islamabad to get a stamped visa.(Usually all other visa offices just issue PPR i.e submitting passports at visa office).

App. Filed = Its the date when we file our application at Province level.

Doc's Request = Its the date when we received additional doc request from Province.

Nomination = Its the date when we get nomination letter from province.

AOR Received = Now a days we have to apply to CIO,Nova Scotia after getting nomination. So its the date when we get "Acknowledgement of receipt" of our processing fees & came to know that our file is considered complete & approved to go to respective visa office.

File Transfer = Its the date when we get acknowledgement from our concerned visa office.

Doc req = Its the date when we get document request from our visa office.

Hi Fahad

Oh that would surely be an issue as IOM don't accept NIC nor old cancelled passport for medical(according to best of my knowledge). They want current & authentic passport number of each family member for medical examination.

I think you'll be able to get kids passports before medical as normal processing time is 2 month. While you can use your older one.

Kindly send an email to IOM and ask them about your situation.They can guide you much better than me & may be they'll agree to give you an appointment without passports. Here is their email address & they usually reply you back within 1-2 days:

Passport office guys are saying there are 6 lac passports in pending so its unlikely to get it before a month. I've written to London CHC about this and also found a couple more people in the same situation but not sure how to proceed. Not sure what to do now.

sorry to hear about your issue. its strange that IOM is not cooperating bcoz your problem is genuine. i also face similar problem during nomination phase but luckily I got my urgent passports in 15 days after pursuing it. Now a days it has become a regular problem with passports, So in case of new/renewal of passport one should always opt for urgent PP. I hope Inshallah you will get positive response from CHC london.
