Re: All Pakistani PNP Applicants submitted file @ CIO in 2012

Hi!

I applied under strategic recrutiment category to reduce the FSW backlog for MPNP program at Nova Scotia and my file transferred to CPP-Ottawa Office.

My ecase status was "we received your application on xx-xx-xxxx, and now one more line is added "Medicals have been received"

Usually how much time it takes to get PPR after medicals have been recieved, and my case is still in process or some decision is made.

Thnaks.

Hi

If you can apply from some where else then I'll suggest to go for it as London Visa Office duration is too much longer then other visa offices.

The visa processing duration mentioned at cic site is average duration. Usually people get visa in between 12 - 18 months but still visa office is toooooo much unpredictable, it can take longer too as mentioned at CIC website.

I hope it helps.

Thanks a lot your post have been most helpful. I was shocked when I read 21 months for 80% cases for Provincial Nominees. I was under the impression that once full documents are submitted to cio London will take about 8-10 months. But the processing timelines on the website was a shock. I'm in the porcess of considering my options and first hand experience you have shared does give some insight into London's timelines btw 12-18months...... which is for past applicants ...... and will ofcourse increase not decrease for new applicants... thanks

London Visa Office is faster in case of their own citizens/residents. But as it is dealing with many of other countries too, for them it is too much slow. As in case of Pakistani Nationals, all PNP applications are processed over there but for them its dead slow. This 21 months timeline is for other countries. Otherwise if you check out their website, it is clearly stated that PNP applicants(UK nationals) processing duration is just 6 months.

Kindly check out the link below where PNP timeline for their residents/nationals is clearly stated:

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/united_kingdom-royaume_uni/visas/processing-traitement.aspx?view=d

Usually our visa office is decided by CIO officials now. They send our application to visa office which they feel is more suitable for us even after writing visa office of our choice in our forms. I have seen many forum members who want their application to be processed in their country of residence but CIO sent their application to their home country.

I hope it helps.

Hi Adnan

Did you check out following post shared by one of Pakistani applicant named as KAdnan. He got refusal letter even after his medical just because his relative moved to some other province. Kindly check it out :

I have received this email from London Office....

Dear Mr. ABC,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada as a member of the provincial nominee class.

I have reviewed your application and all of the information you have provided in support of it and it appears that you do not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.

Subsection 11(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) provides that a foreign national must, before entering Canada, apply to an officer for a visa or any other document required by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. The visa or document shall be issued if, following an examination, the officer is satisfied that the foreign national is not inadmissible and meets the requirements of the Act.

The provincial nominee class is an economic immigrant category. Economic immigrants are defined on Citizenship and Immigration's official website (www.cic.gc.ca) as being "selected for their skills and ability to contribute to the Canadian economy." Subsection 87 of Canada's Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) describes the provincial nominee class as "a class of persons who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada" and who "are named in a nomination certificate issued by the government of a province under a provincial nomination agreement between that province and the Minister; and ... intend to reside in the province that has nominated them." The definition of provincial nominees is further explained on www.cic.gc.ca as "Economic immigrants selected by a province or territory for specific skills that will contribute to the local economy to meet specific labour market needs." In order for applicants to become economically established it is therefore expected that they will be able to obtain employment in Canada. Nominations issued by provinces are considered as initial evidence that nominees have the ability to become economically established in Canada and will be of economic benefit to the province and have met the requirements of the province's Provincial Nominee Program. Canada is responsible for exercising the final selection authority and ensuring that applicants admitted under the program have met the requirements for membership in the economic class. Notwithstanding your nomination by a province or territory, I am not satisfied that the information provided with your permanent residence application indicates you have the ability to become economically established in Canada or that you otherwise meet the definition of a provincial nominee as per Subsection 87 of the IRPR.

You were nominated in the Family stream of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). We have received notification that your relative in Saskatchewan, Mr. Brother-In-Law, no longer supports your application to come to Canada. As the relative who initially assisted you to become nominated under the SINP no longer supports you, I am not satisfied that you would intend to reside in Saskatchewan or indeed that your initial nomination under the SINP would still be considered valid.

A copy of this letter is also being sent to the nominating province to advise of the possible refusal of your application and the reasons for it. The province has 90 days to raise concerns or seek clarification from the visa office regarding the assessment of your application, after which the final decision will be made. If you have further information you wish to have considered, you must submit it within the same 90-day time period.

Sincerely,

Officer

I hope that he'll be able to sort out this situation. I shared it with you as your relative is also doing job some where else.

Regards

Re: All Pakistani PNP Applicants submitted file @ CIO in 2012

Hi Pakistani Friends,

I have joined this forum today for a specif reason.

I want to migrate to Quebec basically i am from Pakistan and whenever i visit any Agent or Consultant they give me separate reasons/steps. I have Bachelor Degree in Computer Science(3 Years prog). Working as Software Engineer and carrying 7 years of experience. I am 32 years old i have recently taken ielts with result(L7.0,R6.5,W7.5,S7.5) but do not have any commands on French.

My question is what are the steps for Quebec Immigration and what certificates(how many) do i need to submit while lodging my Quebec application?

Re: All Pakistani PNP Applicants submitted file @ CIO in 2012

Thanks Ume Rayan for your input regarding the processing timelines at London and the link.
On the same link it also say the Pre-feb 2008 applications timelines 42-48 months although those applications have been terminated. It's so confusing. Any way I have sent them a general enquiry and will see what they reply.

Ume can you please advise on the below regarding filling CIC forms
8. Personal History
Provide the details of your personal history since the agae of 18, or the past 10 years, which ever comes first.

So if someone is 30 years old do they provide personal history since he/she was 18 yrs or since the age of 20years until now?

Fee form IMM 5620
I am paying by bank draft
Section B Credit Card Payment section on the bottom right hand corner there is space of date. Is it for only those who are paying by CC or even if one is paying by Draft that it has to be dated.
Thanks

Dear Mr.

Subsection 87 of Canada's Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) describes the provincial nominee class as "a class of persons who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada" and who "are named in a nomination certificate issued by the government of a province under a provincial nomination agreement between that province and the Minister; and ... intend to reside in the province that has nominated them." The definition of provincial nominees is further explained on www.cic.gc.ca as "Economic immigrants selected by a province or territory for specific skills that will contribute to the local economy to meet specific labour market needs." In order for applicants to become economically established it is therefore expected that they will be able to obtain employment in Canada.

Officer

I hope that he'll be able to sort out this situation. I shared it with you as your relative is also doing job some where else.

Thanks Ume Rayan,

As stated in the letter.

"We have received notification that your relative in Saskatchewan, Mr. Brother-In-Law, no longer supports your application to come to Canada"

Who sent this notification to CHC London?

"As the relative who initially assisted you to become nominated under the SINP no longer supports you"
This is not the case with me.

Moreover my relative owns a property in the province that nominated me, he got job out of the province for one year and now he is back in the province but his family never left the province and they always declared that province as primary residence and filed tax return from there so I believe my case is different.

Thanks again for sharing the information.

Adnan
